The awards inwill be given on the basis of comprehensivenessof the design of the handloom products intotality and its impact on enhancement of sale ofhandloom products and increase in wages of theweavers. The impact will be judged by numbersof weavers benefitted. The design interventionshould not be older than 5 years.

Award will be given to the following threecategories:i) Institutions including NGOs working forhandloom sector.ii) Individual designers.iii) Young designers (not more than 35 years ofage).

The award should be given in the following fivecategories:(i) Primary cooperative societies.(ii) Apex cooperative societies.(iii) E-commerce platforms.(iv) Exporters.(v) Private entity/entrepreneurs.

The application/recommendation in respect of category no.z & 3 i.e. for Design &Development and Marketing of Handloom Products should be submitted to the Weavers ServiceCentre, Delhi.

1. Applications duly completed in all respects along with hand-woven samples/requireddocuments should be submitted latest by r.5 March, zo16.S. Joint Entry in the case of IKAT will be accepted.6.
