Channel 4 brings to you a brand new documentary called ‘The Food Cycle’ exploring the way we are trapped into digging into our pockets and heading straight to the shops to buy food. Watch out for the new three part series.

This new CHANNEL 4 documentary is broken down into three episodes to give the audience an insight into capitalism, ideologies relating to food and how these products are advertised. This documentary will expose industry secrets and reveal the techniques used to make the advertising successful. Along with this, there are many candid public opinion on what they think about food and advertising.

These episodes will have opinion from the experts in the sociology field, marketing agents telling us what works and what doesn’t and why celebrity endorsements are so important with a brands look.

Food affects society as a whole and this is why it is such a big business. The presenter Nkechi will show us old and new techniques used to promote food and take your money from your pockets and give it to them.

Relating food to events in the year it is almost expected to have a want for CREME EGGS in March and so many sweets in OCTOBER in the run up to halloween. With average weekly shops coming to over £100 it seems like we’re addicted to the costly combination of eating and spending.

Catch Nkechi going through food and giving you the facts and secrets on Thursday, March 15th on CHAN-NEL 4 at 9pm.
