Dream it…Then do it.
Improvisation VS Planning
• Improvisation: • interact with locals and environment what’s cheap/cool?• Be open and flexible! There is always something fun to do!
• Planning:• General Outline, NOT too specific! (cannot plan the unexpected!)
Traveling Modalities
• AIR: plane, paraglide, hot air balloon, hellicopter, jet-pack…
• WATER: sailing/motor boat, kayak, windsurf, kitesurf, rowing boat…
• LAND:pocket-bike, hitch-hike, bicycle, hike, animals, roller blades…
My Boat
Dream it…
Do it.
Tips for the road
• Follow your instinct it’s always right
• Positive Mindset you’ll need it, trust me
• Interact with locals freebies + experience
• GTFO of big cities expensive & boring
• KNOW that you’ll make it!
Costs Minimization:
• Go to cheap places • 1 buffet meal + 1 night in hostel in Stockholm = 100 + 260 = 360 SEK• 1 buffet meal + 1 night in hostel in Nepal = 15 + 15 = 30 SEK
• Travel Slow + Use a cheap travel tool -> Then sell it • Inflatable kayak = 550 SEK• Horse in Nicaragua (saddle included) = 815 SEK
• Buy cheap flights… Be flexible!• www.skyscanner.net
• Tent/shared/cheap accommodation? Sleep = 8h still
”
Dare to do it, even when everyone says it’s crazy…
All my stuff for over a month
How to buy a horse with saddle for 815 SEK1. Go to Central America / Mongolia
2. Go to a rural area or a volcano
3. Ask all around if someone wants to sell a horse
4. Negotiate the price
Sell it for 685 SEK by going around
Last Words
• Don’t pay for tours/agencies etc…
• Amazon.com / Ebay.com / Blocket.se buy your stuff there!
• If time permits, better to buy than rent… More fun, less stress
Future Trips
Mark Twain:
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things
that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the
bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in
your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
