This fictional aspect involves romance, sexuality and heroism, but within the placid character of the novel there lurks a dramatic and violent inner part, which reflects the hatred felt between the two warring factions.

Crichton, Michael.Congo. 1993. 6v.Earth Resources Technology Services have sent a geographical project into the dark regions of the Congo, to discover an ancient lost city known to be the last source of the precious blue diamond. The area is said to have a curse on it, a curse no-one believes until the entire party are mysteriously killed. Scientist, Karen Ross, is sent to investigate, joining forces with Peter Elliot, a primatologist.

Cussler, CliveFlood tide: a novel. 1996. 13v.A Chinese businessman is making a fortune smuggling immigrants into countries around the globe.
