United Way of Baroda has launched United Against COVID-19 response program in order to save precious lives of our countrymen. UWB is putting forth their determined attempts to cope up with the needs of various Government and Trust hospitals of Vadodara and its neighbouring areas in support with its Corpus funds.
UNITED AGAINST COVID-19 RESPONSE PROGRAM
EXTENDED HELPING HANDS TO COVID HOSPITALS, VADODARA CITY
United Way of Baroda donated 5 Defibrillators and 2 Oxygen Concentrators to SSG Hospital and GMERS, Gotri Hospital from their own funds. Both Medical Superintendents of the hospitals were present during donation event. Hope, this contribution turns out to be a boon for the patients.
United Way of Baroda lifted up its support with its own Corpus funds and generous CSR donation of Shiva Pharmachem Ltd, BANCO Aluminium Pvt Ltd, GE (T&D), Galaxy SIVTEK and Avani Siddharth Patel for donating 36 Oxygen Concentrators (10 Litres), 200 Pulse Oximeters, 12700 Sterile Hand Gloves.
D.D.O. Dr. Kiran Jhaveri- I.A.S., -Vadodara District conveyed his heartfelt gratitude towards UWB being ardent for the good cause of safeguarding Vadodara. Dr. Surendra Jain, C.D.H.O.- Vadodara district, Dr. Uday Tilavat, In-charge C.D.H. O.- Vadodara district, Mr. Minesh Patel, Treasurer-UWB & Dr. Binita Verdia, CEO-UWB, Mr. Kannan (Shiva Pharmachem Ltd), Mrs. Rachana Patel (BANCO Aluminium Pvt Ltd), Mr. Virendra (GE T&D), Mr. Saumil (Galaxy SIVTEK) and Avani Siddharth Patel were present while handling over the medical equipment and tools.

United Way of Baroda donated 20 ICU Beds and 20 MPM Patient Monitors for COVID Response out of its own corpus funds to Shree Krishna Hospital, Karamsad (Charotar Arogya Mandal) to meet up to the medical crisis.

United Way of Baroda is fervid to serve the senior citizens and thus every June Month has been driven for the elderlies of Vadodara by organising various activities throughout the month. United Way across the world
stcelebrate June 21 every year as the “Day of Action”. Under the aegis of United Way- Day of Action 2021 planned out to carry 5 medical check-ups including COVID check-ups, medical webinars which will be taken by eminent doctors focusing on major prevailing health issues, week long Yoga and meditation sessions also Food essentials will be reaching out to senior citizens.
SUPPORT TO TRUST COVID HOSPITALS
In the very beginning of the New financial year 2021-22, United Way of Baroda took the first step in brace with GE Foundation and United Way India donated 4000 Family Ration kits and Hygiene kits to the deprived communities in Vadodara and its neighbouring areas. These communities were the Society of Differently abled, needy members of Baroda Auto Rickshaw Association, Visually Impaired Individuals, Widow women and grade 4 staff members of SSG Hospital including sweepers, security guards, etc. Each Ration kit consisted of 5 kg wheat, 1 kg Chana, 1 kg mal dal, 2 kg sugar, 200 gms. Spices and condiment powder, 1 hand sanitizer bottle, 10 3-layer masks, and 1 litre Vegetable Oil.

United Way of Baroda facilitated Jewel Consumer Care Pvt Ltd for donation of one well-equipped Ambulance to Kashiba Govardhandas Patel Children's Hospital, Karelibaug for betterment of the patients.
Dr. Surendra Joshi- President, KGP conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to Jewel Consumer Care Pvt. Ltd. and United Way of Baroda for donating well-equipped ambulance for the hospital making it easier to reach to patients.
MENTORING SESSION FOR ENGINEERING STUDENTS
United Way of Baroda along with KOCH Engineering Solutions India Pvt Ltd held a Virtual Mentoring session for the students who are pursuing higher education under the Scholarship Project. In this session, Mr. Jatin Parikh, Managing Director (KES India Pvt Ltd) imparted his knowledge and experience to cope with the present scenario and how to focus on academic goals to achieve success. An open platform was provided to students to ask their queries related to engineering scope and for further studies.

is a portable machine with very low maintenance and
can generate 30000 hours of stable medical grade
oxygen supply.

UNITED TOWARDS MAKING VADODARAA BETTER PLACE TO LIVE IN
United Way of Baroda has launched the “Mission Shiksha” program to
support school education of those children who have lost one or both of their
parents during this pandemic situation (Post March 2020) hailing from 6
districts of Gujarat: Vadodara, Anand, Panchmahal, Bharuch, Narmada, and
Chhota Udepur. This program is supporting those families who lost their
breadwinners and are financially weaker. UWB aims to ensure access to
quality education to these children whose education should not halt.
Educational Kits along with mentorship sessions will be provided to these
children on regular basis. Till date UWB has received 391 applications from
the targeted districts of Gujarat.
MISSION SHIKSHA - A Ray of Hope to Children of Bereaved Families
Guide Star India's Transparency Key is the Foundation Level certification
indicating that the organization has filed annual income tax returns as a tax-
exempt entity sharing the same in the public domain.
United Way of Baroda has been awarded the prestigious GUIDE STAR INDIA
TRANSPARENCY KEY AWARD 2021 and has joined India's largest Pool of
credible NGOs after undergoing a rigorous due diligence process.
