Avery Weigh-Tronix Technical Specification E1205 E1205 advanced multi-function indicator Description General This specification describes the E1205 advanced multi-function weight indicator, capable of stand-alone operation, or of integration into a larger system via serial, FieldBus and Ethernet interfaces. It is a microprocessor-based industrial weighing system with up to 100,000 displayed increments for analysing, displaying, storing and transmitting gross and net weight information. Up to 12 load cells to be connected with the indicator (16 with second scale). Analogue load cells or Avery Weigh-Tronix digital load cells may be used. This indicator can display weight data from two scales simultaneously. Both scales are active and are independently weighing at all times. The E1205 can be matched to almost any load cell system to achieve optimum accuracy, stability and repeatability. The indicator can control its surrounding process using fully configurable I/O. Alternatively, control can be executed from a central system using an extensive range of available interfaces. E1205advanced multi-function indicator

Description

GeneralThis specification describes theE1205 advanced multi-functionweight indicator, capable ofstand-alone operation, or ofintegration into a larger systemvia serial, FieldBus and Ethernetinterfaces.

It is a microprocessor-basedindustrial weighing system with upto 100,000 displayed incrementsfor analysing, displaying, storingand transmitting gross and netweight information.

All these characteristics arestored in non-volatile memory sothat once the ideal parameters forany given weighing system areestablished they can be retainedwith certainty for the future.

Once the scale is set up asrequired, a calibration report canbe printed showing weighingdetails (useful for the installationengineer). This allows the state ofthe system to be monitored.

Up to 300 product look ups(PLUs) are available for instantrecall of previously programmedproduct information.

Three types of tares are available.Each is 100% subtractive.

Initialisation and OperationWhen the item to tare on isapplied, press the ‘Tare’ push-button.

Initialisation & OperationPress ‘pre-set tare’ push buttonfollowed by the stored number ‘1’to ‘40’ followed by ‘enter’ key.When two platforms are used, 20stored tares are available for eachplatform.

Indication‘Net’ icon is illuminated togetherwith preset tare icon (PT).

Trips

The indicator has three internaltrips as standard, and can supportup to 16 external trips via externalTrips Interface Units(see accessories).All trips (both internal andexternal) are rated at 240 V 10 A.Internal inputs are rated at TTLlevels.

Two modes have independentcontrol of the trip outputs, Alarmand Recipe. Alarm modeoperates continuously.Recipe mode is dependant on theRecipe / Filling application beingconfigured and in operation.

Alarm ModeAlarm mode has 10 independentconfigurable indexes, and cannotbe turned off. Each index can beprogrammed to operate any or alloutputs based on a given target:

The E1205 is fitted with a realtime clock which allows the userto display and print the time anddate. This clock is battery-backedand will remain functional in theabsence of mains power.
