Volunteer Group of the Year Award

For the past 8 years, Providence Presbyterian

Church has partnered with The Salvation Army

and sheltered homeless women at their church

for two weeks at a time. Even when the project

was scheduled to end, Providence Church

continued to step up and provide shelter for

women that had nowhere else to go. Not only

has Providence Presbyterian Church sheltered

women, they have built friendships and

connected ladies to resources to help them

further themselves. We are so thankful for their volunteer efforts and

for being willing to train other churches on best practices they have

learned in providing shelter to those most in need.
