What is Ascendix Search?
Ascendix Search was created with the end user in mind.
The ability to Search/Report data within CRM is often a complicated andtime-consuming process. For a busy professional, this is simply unacceptable. Time is valuable after all.
We have developed a tool that flattens out the database making a complex, multifaceted search easy. Allowing users to quickly create a “What If Analysis” (The process of changing the values in cells to see how those changes will affect the outcome), generate reports and interactive insights panel.
Combined with the ability to add/remove columns in searches to give the user a greater ability not only see what’s relevant to them, but also update/edit records through the handy Preview Panel feature. Eliminating the back and forth currently required to update records from reports in CRM.

Who needs Ascendix Search?
For those looking to really utilize their data we have options such as Cross-Object Query Builder (Allows users to build searches based on attributes not related to the core record type such as building a list of Accounts where Opportunities probabilities are 70%+) and Expanded Search Operators (Search parameters such as Next X day and Between X and Y value) Plus an additional Map Interface that allows you to quickly search by geographic location.
Read our whitepaper (PDF) to learn how Sales professionals, Marketers, Customer Support Teams, and Salesforce Admins can improve their productivity thanks to Ascendix Search.
Now that we have all these detailed searches what can we do with them?
Export it to Excel, save your search for a later date, or even share your search template with other users in the organization.
Not enough?
Ascendix Search also allows for the creation of Ad-Hoc Lists (Lists created for a particular purpose) giving you the end user the ability to quickly and easily access tailored information now not later.

Security: Frequently Asked Questions 27
www.ascendix.com
Ascendix Search: All You Want to Know about Security
Is data stored or processed by a third party? No
Interactions with Salesforce records
Our application allows users to search for existing Salesforce records, but only those record types they already have access to.
Changing permissions sets, profiles
Our package includes two permission sets one that provides general access to product features, while the other grants access to admin features. We do not modify any existing profiles or permissions during our installation process.
Does the app respect object and field permissions?
Absolutely! We include security checks throughout the application to ensure users never access data they do not have read/write access to. As with any application listed on the Salesforce AppExchange, our product have to undergo a rigorous security review before being made available. With each release, we review our security implementation and run manual & automated tests to verify compliance.
Custom classes, triggers, objects, fields
We include a few custom objects to support the creation of saved searches, but search results themselves are never saved. Our Ad-Hoc Lists feature uses a custom object to store IDs of records in the list, but the records themselves are never stored in our custom objects.
Does data leave Salesforce?
No, unless you enable our Composer feature. For our Composer feature, data is sent to our Composer service to render reports.
Security: Frequently Asked Questions 28
www.ascendix.com
Is data stored outside of Salesforce?
Generated Composer reports are stored within our Composer service, but not the underlying data used to generate the reports.
How updates are implemented?
Updates are delivered either via patches or full releases, depending on the scope of the changes included.
A patch update can be pushed to a Salesforce organization where the package is installed, this is our preferred method of pushing updates.
These types of updates allows us to incrementally add new features and fix reported issues, without requiring additional installation steps.
For larger changes or those that introduce new components we deliver updates via a full release.
Full releases require the admin of the Salesforce organization to install the update via a URL we provide.
