Addendum #3 Razorback Event Center for Panama Public Schools

Project Number: 11-28

Total Pages: Ten (10)

This addendum forms a part of the contract documents and modifies the original bidding documents

dated 01-16-15. Acknowledgement of this addendum is required in the space provided on the bid form.

Failure to do so may subject bidder to disqualification.

Item A3-1 (Additional Information): Please note that all sprinkler heads over the court and in the locker rooms shall have wire guards on them.

Item A3-2 (Clarification): Please see attached Addendum #3 items from Engineering Elements for misc. hvac and electrical items.

Item A3-3 (Clarifications, Sheet C102): Where the new driveway to the south of the new building connects to the existing driveway to the east, there is NOT to be a concrete transition, it is simply asphalt to asphalt. Also, the concrete trickle channel shown in the south parking lot is to be included in the Alternate #6. All concrete driveway entrances, sidewalks around the building, and the concrete handicapped parking areas are to be included in the Base Bid.

Item A3-4 (Clarification): Please note that all masons who bid on this project should familiarize themselves with the building sections, as the low block walls where the basketball court meets the bleachers are more visible / easier to understand in the building sections versus the plan. Sheet A206 (as well as others) has a detail showing how the low height block walls are to be constructed under the first few rows of bleacher structure.

Item A3-5 (Clarification, Sheet C102): the space between the back of the building, and the back driveway (which is to the southwest of the building) is to have sod.

Item A3-6 (Substitution request): Action Flex floor system with maple wood court floor surface is approved as a substitution for the wood court flooring. Additionally, the Contractors should submit an alternate for Action Excel NR Flooring (or equal), which is a slightly thicker. Note that if this thicker wood floor system is used, the slab recess shall be changed from 1 5/8” deep to 2 1/8” deep. This shall be add alternate #8 (see attached, Revised Bid Form).

Item A3-7 (Additional Scope): Each of the four trophy cases in Lobby 100 shall have a divider in the center of them, to break up the span of the shelving. The divider shall be 2 layers ¾” plywood screwed together, with 1X2 front edge, from floor to ceiling, with the adjustable shelving to be on both sides of the divider.

Item A3-8 (Change in Spec): the interior wooden doors used on this project shall be prefinished, plain sliced oak, color to be selected during submittal phase.

Item A3-9 (Clarification, Sheets A208 & A212): Stage 107 is to have the furring strips & gyp board all the way up to the bottom side of the roof, while Corridors 109 & 138 are to only have the furring strips & gyp. bd. up to 10’ above finished floor.

Item A3-10 (Clarification): The tectum wall panels used on this project shall be installed in 4’x4’ panels as shown on the drawings.

Item A3-11 (Clarification, Sheets A401): The sections of floating ceiling tile over the bleachers are NOT to have insulation laying on top of them.

Item A3-12 (Clarification): There is not to be any gyp. bd. placed over cmu block walls. Therefore, all conduit, electrical boxes, etc. in block walls shall be recessed in the block.

Item A3-13 (Clarification, Sheets A207): Along column line 3, where metal stud framing is used to frame the metal building endwall over the opening that leads into the lobby, there shall be 5/8” mtl. furring strips used across the studs, at 48”o.c., to give something to more easily fasten the metal wall panels to the structure.

Item A3-14 (Clarification): See attached, Revised Sheets A202 & A203 for clarification of the location of tectum wall panels inside the gym area. Note that all tectum wall panels should have metal stud framing behind.

Item A3-15 (Clarification): See attached, Supplemental Drawing #1 (SD-1) for on site location where all earth that is removed from the site is to be stockpiled by the contractor. Existing dirt is NOT to be hauled off, but simply piled up for the school to use or dispose of on their own.

Item A3-16 (Clarification): The School is currently obtaining and paying for the State Fire Marshal’s building permit, but it is up to the contractor to pay for any/all meter tap fees, as well as any inspection fees, and concrete and earthwork compaction test.

Item A3-17 (Additional Scope): The School would like to incorporate a key fob unlocking system at door numbers 110A, 110B, 113B, 118B,120A, 120B, 125A, 125B, 128B, 131B, 133A, and 133B. The system shall include parts with the following model numbers at these doors: DMP XR550DNL-G Access Control
