Add Printer

Click Printers in System Setings.

Click Add:

Choose Windows Printer via SAMBA and write prt01.uni.au.dk/ and press “Browse...” button.

If you are promptet to install python3-smbc choose “Install”

Type your password:

Type au + AUID in Username field and UNI in the domain field + your password

Chooes the Printer and click OK

Click Forward

If you are promptet to install smbclient choose Install

Choose Driver manifacurer or PPD to use.

Choose Model and Driver and press Forward

You also have the opportunity to download a ppd on this site.

If you do that choose “Provide PPD file” and press Forward.

Choose a name for the printer and description and location.

If you want to print a testpage choose “Print Test Page”

Rightclick on the printicon in the menubar and choose the printer. The job will be “Held for authentication”. Rightclick on the job and choose “authenticate”.

In the field Username type UNI\au + AUID and the password in the Password field. If you dont want to be promptet again before the next password change. Then mark the field “Remember password” and choose OK.

The job will now be send and the printer installed.
