Add-Ons and Extensions are small applications that are loaded in to your Firefox browser to add
additional functionality. They can often be customised and are easily disable or removed. They are
always free. Similar options are available in other web browsers but this tutorial deals with the
Firefox browser.
1. Open Firefox Browser and click on the MENU icon

2. Select Add-ons from the icons that appear.
3. Select EXTENSIONS in the left hand pane

4. Enter the name of the desired Add-on in the Search all add-ons box, in this case enter
fireshot
5. When the list of add-ons appears, click INSTALL next to the desired add-on
6. Once the add-on is installed, you will usually be prompted to Restart now. Click this link. It
will restart the browser and may open a webpage relating to the add-on you just installed in
a new tab. Read this for information on your add-on.

7. Return to the Add-ons tab in your browser and click EXTENSIONS in the left pane. Here you
will see a list of all add-ons you have installed, including in this case, FireShot.
8. Some add-ons have an Options button to assist with customisation and all have a Disable
and Remove option. Click Options in this case.
9. To customise the location of the information provided by this add-on (FireShot), click the
appropriate option in the preferences panel. Click OK when you have finished.
