What You Need:4oz Apple Cider Vinegar

4oz Water

4 bags of Green Tea

1 bag of Chamomile Tea

10-15 drops of Tea Tree oil

10-15 drops of Jojoba oil

8oz container/dispense

10 plain aspirin pills

Directions:

Pour the Apple Cider Vinger into the container of your choice.

Heat the water to a boil, set aside and steep the tea bags in it for at least 30 minutes. When cool,

remove tea bags and be sure to squeeze them (your own washed fingers work best) to get the

trapped bit of tea liquid out. Add to the ACV.

Add the Tea Tree oil and Jojoba oil. The 10-15 drops is just a basic amount... add more or less to

your liking.

Crush the aspirin pills into a fine powder and mix well into toner. Strain the toner through a strainer

or mesh coffee filter to filter out the left-over aspirin bits.

Shake your container good to mix it all up.

After cleansing, apply this toner; after it dries, apply your moisturizer if you use one.

NotesYou should try to get 100% green tea and chamomile.. if it says all natural on the box, you're good to go.

Page 2: ACV Toner

Stay away from stuff with additives like flavorings.

Green Tea is high in antioxidants and Chamomile tea is known for its calming nature.

Tea Tree oil is a disinfectant, anti-fungal and good for treating acne. Jojoba oil is easy to absorb, is non-comedogenic and is remarkably similar to the sebum your skin naturally creates. You can try different oils if you're feeling creative. Another alternative is Grapeseed oil--it's light, easy to absorb, has astringent properties and is good for oily/acne prone skin. Emu oil is another option; it's reported to be good for acne, irritation and healing/fading scars and marks. A simple google search on essential oils or carrier oils profiles will bring up good resources for looking up what type of oils do what.

The green tea, chamomile tea and tea tree oil really help mask that horrendous odor (which does go away after several minutes). Be conscious when you first apply this stuff! I did not prepare myself for it and the first time I used it I did way too much sniffing and the smell made me dizzy!--lmao

Also, if this is irritating to your skin, try using less ACV and more the tea water.

BAKING SODA

1 QUESTION

[YEA]  08/10/2007: Natalia from London, UK writes: "I use baking soda from childhood and specially as exfoliation for face even if it hurts its worth it and always add to my sponge to rub my body all over as it best cleans than anything else, and if half a cup of soda added to a cool bath(submerge with a head) it removes negativity and balances electromagnetic field of the body.My skin is very good i think as a result."

[YEA]  07/28/2007: Jackie from Grand rapids, Minnesota writes: "after learning the basic remedies here and feeling so much better and realizing our skin absorbs anything put on it, i omitted my antiaging skin products and makeup (containing a long list of chemical names) for a few days. I will never go back. i use baking soda for cleanser, vegetable glycerin with a drop of rose-geranium essential oil for moisturizer and burts bees lip shimmer for lipstick and blush can't believe the improvement. i also use borax for bathing and use veg. glycerin and rose-geranium oil for perfume rather than a perfume with all the chemicals. this is a nice soft scent that lasts all day. it's recommended to change the essential oil scent every 2 weeks"

[YEA]  03/10/2007: Kristina from Waukesha, Wisconsin writes: "I just tried baking soda as a facial scrub. It worked incredibly well! My face has never felt so clean! Because I have acne and I was looking for cures for it and/or scarring I also read about using honey on the face. So after I use the scrub, I apply honey to my face and leave it on for 10 or so minutes, then rinse. It feels really good and takes care of any dryness without oiliness. The combination makes my skin SO soft and the texture is uniform. That is a first. Thanks Earth Clinic! I've tried so many products. I will report if I see any difference with scarring and acne, but I think my acne is a hormonal

problem, since it only flairs up once a month."

01/18/2009: Tim from Berkeley, CA replies: "With regards to Kristina's monthly acne problem, she might want to look into taking 1-2 tablespoons of molasses per day. I have heard many first hand stories of how molasses regulated women's menstrual cycle and relieved their cramps and minimized their flow. It might have a positive effect on your acne."

[YEA]  12/07/2006: Tara from Las Vegas writes: "Washing with baking soda twice a day is an inexpensive way to clean out and minimize the appearance of large pores. Splash warm water on the face and lightly exfoliate with a substantial amount of baking soda. By the second washing, one will see a noticeable difference! I began doing this at the age of 21 and I have not bought a facial cleanser since. I am 26 years old. I always get compliments on my complexion and some believe I am wearing foundation when I am not!"

[YEA]  11/14/2006: Trisha from Spokane,WA writes: "Possibly the cheapest facial scrub you can buy! Add 3 or 4 tablespoons of baking soda to 1 or 2 tablespoons of water. Rub vigorously all over the face, paying extra attention to problem areas. If you have really dry skin, add just a tad of olive oil to help moisturize. Rinse off. I had moderate to severe acne that medications didn't cure. Baking soda is a salt, and so it aids in killing bacteria. Also, it is great for really sensitive skin because it won't irritate. If anyone has tried Time Wise Microdermabrasion, this

mix feels exactly like that!"

07/11/2008: Jane from Redlands, California replies: "Can I use baking powder instead of baking soda? Is there any difference?"

10/11/2008: Catherine from Wellington, New Zealand replies: "To Jane from Redlands,

Baking powder is a mix of Baking Soda (bi-carbonate of soda) and Cream of tartar. It is a commercial blend and there may be other ingredients in small quantities. Baking Soda is what you need to use. I had a major breakout last week and came onto this site , found the Baking Soda remedy and have been using it for three days..massive improvement."

[YEA]  Anonymous writes: "Use baking soda with your bath soap as an all over body scrub. Just a little sprinkled on a wash cloth will do it. It will make your skin feel soft and smooth."

BAKING SODA SCRUB, APPLE CIDER VINEGAR TONER, FLAX SEED OIL

2 YEA

1 NAY

[YEA]  06/25/2008: Rose from Pasadena, CA writes: "I tried the baking soda scrub and flax seed oil remedy for skin. I was using acv as a toner, but didn't like the strong smell on my face all day and stopped it after 2 days. The bss and flax are great! I wash my face with bs every morning and then massage some kind of lotion into my face for 5-10 minutes after that. Some days I use shea butter, other days I use on my face creams (bought at beauty store for big bucks). I have come to the conclusion that when it comes to moisturizers it is best to switch from one to another every few days. My skin tends to look fabulous the first few days, then the effect wears off. But if I switch to another moisturizer after 3-4 days, my skin consistently glows. What's that about? I take 2 flax seed oil capsules after lunch and another 2 after dinner. I still have forehead lines, but they aren't nearly so noticeable. My wrinkles become much more pronounced when I don't drink enough water, but the flax makes my skin baby soft (according to my husband). I figure I could get my forehead wrinkles to disappear if I spent at least half an hour massaging my face every night, but who has time for that?!"

Page 6: ACV Toner

[YEA]  05/28/2008: Jonna from Los Angeles, CA writes: "After reading through the hundreds of remedies on the beautiful skin/fountain of youth page of Earth Clinic, I decided to do the following:1. Baking Soda Scrub. I put a small amount of baking soda in my palm and add water to it. Then I do a gentle

scrub on my face and neck. I rinse off the baking soda with tepid water.

2. I then apply apple cider vinegar -- straight up, no dilutions -- with a cotton ball to my face and neck. I don't

wash it off, but let it dry and later in the day I apply moisturizer.

3. I am taking flax seed oil (1 tablespoon, 3x a day).

The results; WOW! My skin looks like I have had a micro-dermabrasion sessions at a spa! My pores are noticeably smaller and my skin is baby soft (thanks to the flax seed oil). There is a rosy glow to my cheeks (thanks to the acv). I have tried the baking soda scrub alone and also flax seed oil alone as well. The thing that really made the difference to this skin care regime was the apple cider vinegar as a toner. It is the BEST alpha-hydroxy ever!

Please try this and let me know what you think."

06/06/2008: Joanna from Los Angeles, CA replies: "Wanted to follow up on my previous posting about the skin remedies as I have additional notes. First note -- the apple cider vinegar toner on the face is the bomb! It brings an instant glow, rosy as can be, to the face, especially after the baking soda scrub. The glow lasts as long as the vinegar stays on the skin. When you wash it off, the alpha hydroxy effect lessens... So you might actually want to try this at night and wake up with glowing skin. Another note: be careful not to get the ACV on your hairline when you are applying it because everytime you sweat or even wash your face, the salad dressing smell gets activated if you know when I mean. Next, since acv is an alpha hydrox, you should be very careful out in the sun as it will cause your skin to burn faster. Finally, I read on the site somewhere that acv can cause the skin the thin, so you might also want to watch for that if you do this regime daily. Perhaps daily application is not a good idea."

06/06/2008: Theath from Los Angeles, CA replies: "Hi Joanna, Thank you for your wonderful feedback about baking soda and apple cider vinegar. I was wondering whether the baking soda will cause blood pressure to elevate if i were to use daily as it contains salt in it. I wanted to start the flax seed oil regimen and wanted to know from where to buy it and which brand. I would really appreciate if you can please let me know the same."

06/09/2008: Kyra from Lafayette, Ca replies: "RE: Flax Seed OilI''ve been using Flax Seed Oil as a beauty treatment. I take a swig of it in the morning and evening. You will see a noticible result in lass then 10 days. Your skin especially in the winter .. when the cold dries it out.. will be visably hydrated, soft and have a heallthy glow. You can purchase Flaz Seed oil in the refrigerated section of the Health Food Store. This is important to purchase a brand in the refridgerated section. Note: Cooking with SO is not reomended as it will elimitae its properties. Use it raw. I don't have problem with the taste.. but you can wash it down with water or juicee

I also us coconut oil after my showers. It will harden at 65 degrees.. but I let it melt at the bottom of the shower ans put it on rinse off and pat dry. It will not be grasy and will absorb into the skin leqaving it soft and visably hydraded. I call it one of my goddess treatments... From one Goddess to another Goddess... Enjoy!"

Page 7: ACV Toner

06/10/2008: Joanna from Los Angeles, CA replies: "Response to Theath about my skin formula - flax seed oil, baking soda scrub, acv...

Theah, I don't think applying baking soda topically will raise your blood pressure. You rinse it off immediately, so it doesn't really have a chance to absorb into the skin. As far as the flax oil goes, I bought a big bottle at the grocery store (near the milk).. I think you just want an organic brand if possible, with high lignan content. I made the mistake of buying capsules and have to swallow 6 enormous pills to equal 1 tablespoon of the liquid. So I suggest you stick to the liquid and add it to cottage cheese. I take it straight up first thing in the morning, but that might make some people queasy.

I have one last comment to add to my remedy, which is to apply a very good moisturizer at some point after the acv application. This makes the effect last quite long. Coconut oil has made my skin break out in the past, so I just stick to my wayyyyyy expensive, holistic Dr. Spiller Q-10 cream. It's pricey (over $70 for a jar), but I love it."

07/22/2008: TUBA from FLORIDA, USA replies: "HELLO I WAS SEARCHING THE WEB LAST NIGHT HOPPING TO FIND A HOME REMEDY FOR MY DULL SKIN ON MY FACE I CAME ACROSS THIS SITE AND I WAS VERY HAPPY TO HEAR THAT BAKING SODA IS A GREAT FACE SCRUB AND ACV IS A GREAT TONER SO I IMEDIATLY WENT TO THE KITCHEN AND GAVE IT A TRY HOPPING IT WILL WORK I HAVEN'T SEEN A BIG RESULT YET BUT I'M VERY HOPEFULL THIS IS GOING TO HELP ME GET RID OF MY LARGE PORES AND SOME WRINKELS.. DOES THAT MEAN I CAN STOP USING MY NORMAL FACE SCRUB AND JUST USE THE BAKING SODA.AND THE ACV AS A TONER? CAN ANYONE PLZ TELL ME IF I CAN STILL USE MY NORMAL MOISTURIZER AFTER CLEANSING WITH THE BS AND ACV? THANKYOU SO MUCH FOR THIS SITE I HOPE IT WILL ALWAYS BE HERE FOR PEOPLE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT HOME REMEDIES. TUBA FROM FL"

[NAY]  03/07/2009: Meghna from Bangalore, India replies: "I use 1 tb of Baking Soda with a little bit of water and scrub it all over my face. After this, I Apply 3 -4 drops of ACV as a toner (without any dilution). Have been following this religiously for the last two months. Havent seen any significant improvement. Infact, my skin turns red sometimes and becomes really dry if i scrub a little vigorously. What could be the problem? Im really distraugt that this remedy has been working for so many of you'll but i havent seen any difference. Please help. I have combination skin."

03/07/2009: Dianna from Austin, Tx replies: "both baking soda and ACV are actually pretty strong .the reason for using ACV after baking soda is because your skin's normal pH is more acid than basic and using only baking soda leaves it very basic and can cause it to be red and itchy and dry. when you use the ACV afterwards it neutralized the baking soda and brings it back to a more 'normal' pH.

for me i can't use baking soda on my skin at all. it just dries it out even with the ACV afterwards and it feels dry and itchy and tight and stays red. if i use just ACV it is better - but even ACV alone is a mild peeling agent and can make your skin red - and also it creates blood circulation and this may also cause your skin to be red. i would try using less baking soda and more ACV and then rinsing the ACV off with water. then apply some virgin coconut oil on your damp skin - just a few drops massaged into both palms and spread across your face.

Page 8: ACV Toner

for me chandan (sandalwood powder) works much better than the baking soda. it could be that you have sensitive skin and that the baking soda is just too harsh a cleanser. i can't even use baking soda for brushing my teeth - after just a few days i get sores in my mouth and my teeth hurt!

all remedies don't work for everyone. use caution and trial and error. if something is not working for you - stop using it! your body is trying to tell you that it is not the right thing for it."

BATHING IN PURIFIED WATER

1 YEA

[YEA]  01/13/2007: Pablo from Shawnee, KS writes: "I will have to try this Fountain of Youth for sure. I just have one comment to everyone with dry skin, though, and that is you should be bathing in purified water if not already. I have been for ten years and from the get go you could scratch my skin all day and hardly get any dry lines from it, and I don't use lotion either. Just FYI, as it's really worked for me (and chlorinated water definitely has not). plus there are a tone of other health benefits from doing so"

BATHS, ALOE VERA, WATER

1 YEA

[YEA]  02/07/2006: Joe from Richmond Hill, GA writes: "I will be 60 this year, and most people do not believe may age and most say that I look in my 40's. First, I have very good genes: one grandfather lived to be 94 and the other 95, when most people were dying at 68. I take a bath normally, as opposed to a shower, usually when you shower your skin does not have time to absorb the water. If I do shower, I plug the tub and allow the water to build up. This greatly aids dry, cracked feet. I also apply aloe vera to my feet, elbows, and face almost daily. I also use aloe vera for my hair, instead of brylcreem type hair products. Also, throughout the day, I put water on my face and allow the skin to absorb it. Furthermore, for the past 10 or 15 years I have never dried my feet. It is amazing, but your feet almost immediately absorbs the water. Most of our bodies, most of our planet, and a lot of outer space they say it made of water, so I give my body plenty to absorb. Lastly, I consume a great deal of Apple Cider Vinegar. It helps me keep my weight down, and has enabled me to quit taking damaging water pills for

blood pressure."

04/19/2009: Jaya from Whakatane, New Zealand replies: "Hi Joe how much acv do you take daily?"

BLACKSTRAP MOLASSES

3 YEA

[YEA]  11/02/2007: Annie from Kingston, Jamaica writes: "2 Tbsp black strap molasses daily and up my intake of h2o to ten cups Gorgeous skin all over, no acne outburst before my period and did not have any PMS, the period showed up unannounced. I've only been using the molasses for 3 weeks. Thanks a lot. I found simplicity lasts longer."

[YEA]  10/09/2007: Dodie from LA, California writes: "I've been taking blackstrap molasses for a week now and thank goodness I've been getting 3 bowel movements a day!! I have a hard time getting bowel movements partially cause of the foods that I eat but I am working on it. Also, my father has the same issues. Also, my face is glowing and I've gotten a couple of comments and how good my skin looks! I hope it doesn't stop working for me."

[YEA]  06/26/2007: Angel from Los Angeles, CA writes: "Blackstrap molasses can also be applied directly to your skin. A friend told us to do a bsm facial 3x's a week esp. if you live in the city. It tightens the pore, draws out impurities, helps with lines, and leaves a beautiful glow, also left skin very soft. I did notice a difference when I

skipped a couple of days. Leave on as long a possible...about an hour...

I thank the God of heaven and earth for all His remedies that He provides right in His nature...fruits, vegetables, herbs, grains, seeds, water, sunshine, exercise oxygen, rest, and of course trust in Him!"

BORAX

2 YEA

1 SIDE EFFECT

[SIDE EFFECTS]  04/08/2009: Holly from Sydney, Australia writes: "I have been using borax as a facial cleanser, and it's been great - clean soft skin. However, more than a month later, I'm beginning to see some discoloration, dark pigment, appearing on my left cheek and slowly forming on my right also. Does anyone know what this is all about? I would love continue with the borax, but am thinking of going back to my cosmetic cleanser. Thanks for any feedback."

[YEA]  12/21/2008: Rachel from Montclair, NJ writes: "Borax instead of soap: After reading all of the information about borax on the earthclinic website, I decided to experiment with it. I started using borax in place of the liquid bodywash that I normally used in the shower. I have always had breakouts on my chest and back and have tried everything (acne creams, soaps, kits for problem skin, alcohol, changing laundry detergent) and never had any lasting success keeping my skin clear from breakouts. Well let me tell you, since I started using the borax to wash myself with, my skin is COMPLETELY CLEAR! I've been using the borax now for about two months straight and will never go back to bodywash. I also started using it on my face and I will no longer buy facial cleansers again since the borax works so well. I still do use regular shampoo. I tried using just borax to wash my hair and the first day my hair looked great but the following two days my hair looked terrible. I now add a small handful of borax to my shampoo and use that with very good results. It is winter in NJ right now and usually I have a lot of static in my hair, but the borax seems to be counteracting that. I attribute the lack of static to the borax as that is the only

different thing I am doing.

One last thing, the borax that I am using is the stuff you can get in the laundry aisle."

06/27/2009: Fra from Mineral Wells, Texas replies: "Rachel, I have a question about the Borax bath scrub. Do you pre-mix the powder with water in a container to be used in the shower or do you just use it dry? Thanks. I already use borax and sea salt in one liter of water and drink during the day for muscle and joint aches. It seems to help some."

[YEA]  11/25/2009: Sp from Nashville, Tn replies: "I decided to try BORAX after reading the posts about BORAX on EC. I have been using BORAX for 3 months to wash my body, scalp and face and love the result. Doesn't dry out my skin, scalp, just a clean feeling. Helps with acne breakouts.

Page 11: ACV Toner

I even clean my house with BORAX. One box cost $3.00 and lasts me a whole month. I love BORAX. Highly recommend to others."

BORAX SCRUB

1 YEA

[YEA]  05/15/2006: Jack from Toledo, OH writes: "20-mule team borax gets rid of old skin and revitalizes. I used to get a lot of dry or dead skin on my head and face, I started putting 20-mule team borax in a wash cloth and rubbing vigorously in the dry areas and scalp it feels like rubbing sand on hr skin and face but it makes a great skin cleaner."

BROWN SUGAR SCRUB

6 YEA

[YEA]  06/17/2009: Tavora from Brooklyn, NY writes: "Just wanted to thank the person who created/came up with the brown sugar facial scrub (not the one with glycerin)! I tried it last night and this morning and literally - right after rinsing my skin - I was glowing! I looked ten years younger! No kidding! (I'm 30) Because all my focus has been geared towards resolving all my other health issues - my skin care regimen has taken a back seat. I'm so glad I decided to try this. I also plan to use this scrub as an all over body treatment. It's amazing how a recipe this simple could produce such incredible results! No more overpriced and chemically saturated products for me!!! My skin hasn't looked this good since I was 18!!

Thank you again! :0)"

11/24/2009: Samina from Birmingham, Uk replies: "hi, i just wanted to know how to make the brown sugar scrub for the facial? i suffer from eczema and have started the oil pulling yesterday, i tried the ACV but that tastes horrible."

Page 12: ACV Toner

[YEA]  01/31/2007: Cheryl from Denver, CO writes: "Years ago a plastic surgeon friend told me that I should use an exfoliant like the brown sugar shown on this site and then put vegetable lard (Crisco) on my face, hands and feet three times a week. It is an all natural moisturizer. I am 46 and look much younger than my age. It works."

[YEA]  11/03/2006: Alexis from NY writes: "A few years ago my cousin and i were talking about skin care. I always had clear skin and always got compliments on it. A few years ago though, my skin started to change. It wasn't glowing, and i was getting more and more blackheads, on my forehead, around my mouth, and of course, my nose. My cousin had given me the recipe of this great at home exfoliator she got from a friend. Cream facial cleanser, like dove, mixed with a good amount of white household sugar. After you mix these 2 ingredients together wet face and scrub for 3-4 minutes. Pat Dry, and then apply clear tape all over entire face (this will take off all the dead skin cells you just scrubbed off!). Peel tape off, you will see all the dead skin cells, it's amazing...follow this up with a good facial moisturizer. I do this regimen twice a week, it works amazing! This regimen cured my blackhead and brought the glow back to my skin."

[YEA]  10/28/2006: Jen from San Diego writes: "I've had stubborn oily, break out skin issues. I have stopped using expensive creams and cleansers on my skin. I have been using a sugar scrub to exfoliate and salt to banish the acne. Never has my skin looked so fresh."

[YEA]  03/02/2006: M from Cincinnati OH writes: "I tried the one about making your face feel so soft and smooth by using the brown sugar and honey and ACV and it feels so Wonderful. I have a question about what kind of ACV the kind you buy in a bottle at the grocery store for using for energy and weight loss or is there another kind

recommended?"

06/21/2008: Royce from Milburn, Oklahoma replies: "To answer a question for M from cincinnati Oh, I have to name a product name. I have only found one type of apple cider vinegar that matches ted description of the real thing it contains the mother

Page 13: ACV Toner

and when it burns it leaves the ash, it looks like dirty water and if you held it uo to the sun light in a clear jar its cloudy, you need to shake it up before each use it is not distilled and pretty and red it is organic and natural. it is called Bragg apple cider vinegar. it is very strong so dont use too much make sure to buffer it with the b soda because if your body does not contain enough alkalizing minerals or bicarbonates you may make your symptoms worse."

[YEA]  11/21/2005: Anelisa from Mesa , AZ writes: "Brown Sugar face and body scrub:a brown sugar face scrub gives me a wonderful glow and everything you need to make it is in your kitchen. this first recipe is for the face scrub. one fourth of a cup of brown sugar, one tablespoon of honey, and a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar mix well apply it to the face and gently scrub in circular motions, my friends say "it's like micro dermabrasion for no cost". Also since the holidays are coming up make a bigger batch and add a tea spoon of "pumpkin pie spice" to the mixture it's all natural and it makes a lovely yummy holiday body scrub and you'll be glowing smelling sweet and ready for all those christmas events you may not even need to apply perfume."

BROWN SUGAR SCRUB, EGG WHITE FACIAL LIFT

2 YEA

[YEA]  10/15/2006: Karin from Munich, Germany writes: "YEA! Have tried this facial and worked beautifully! Face looks clean and has finally a glow. It also looks much thinner. Thanks Anjeanette for the tip and also earthclinic.com to make all this information available around the world. Keep up the good work."

[YEA]  10/10/2006: Anjeanette from Chicago writes: "I have combined some of the secrets from Earth Clinic and

added my own secret to come up with the ultimate facial!

First, cleanse your skin with a gentle soap like Dove or Palmers. Next, do the brown sugar scrub listed below (1/4 brown sugar, 1 tblsp ACV, 1 tblsp honey). After that, take a cotton ball and apply hydrogen peroxide to your face. This will decrease bacteria on your skin and also lighten dark spots. Take the white of an egg and apply to your

Page 14: ACV Toner

whole face. Eggs are full of protein which is what our skin is comprised of. This is called the instant face lift. I learned this from a former drag queen! It tightens and lifts your skin! Leave the egg white on for 30 minutes and watch the magic! Take a wet face towel and gently wipe off the egg white. Follow this with a good moisturizer

that contains sunblock as our skin gets a lot of damage from uv rays.

At night before bed, cleanse your skin with soap and apply the hydrogen peroxide again. Sleep on soft, clean pillowcases as they hold a lot of germs and dead skin cells. After about 3 days you will look 10 years younger! My skin has no more pores, my dark patches are gone, and my skin is the softest it has ever been. Now I have 20 yr old guys asking me out and I am 32 now. They think I am the same age as they are. When I tell them my real age, they freak out and say that is impossible. I wind up having to show them my ID. I get carded at clubs and for

alcohol now and I love it! Just try it and you will thank God that you did!"

10/03/2008: Shumaila Bhatti from Multan, Pakistan replies: "i have freckles and i m asian, i just wana know that i can use this remedy at my face to cure the freckles esp hydrogen peroxide is good and not harmful for my freckles. pls must help me abot this, i m really tense so help me our pls. i did not use any remedy till yet, just visit ur site but likes ur remedy so much."

BROWN SUGAR, ROLLED OATS, ACV AND BAKING POWDER SCRUB

2 YEA

[YEA]  11/10/2006: Painfree from Oregon writes: "I made a recipe for the face and body skin. I suppose I could be called a chemist, for I bake and cook. As I concocted up this remedy, I wrote it down as I went. I did not use any

measuring spoons. Only one cereal bowl and the use of my clean hands.

Here is the recipe I named it: Natures Bowl of Beauty Gentle Scrub

(its the balm)

Fill the inside of your hands palm with brown sugar and place in bowl.

Sprinkle baking powder lightly over brown sugar in bowl.

Use half a palm full of rolled oats (not the quick type) and place over brown sugar, baking powder.

Add 2 caps of ACV ( It will foam slightly) Then drizzle lightly with extra light olive oil ( I suppose coconut oil would

do, I did not have any)

Add 1/2 teaspoon of honey ( I used royal jelly from health food store)

Stir all these ingredients to make a nice paste. That is it, you have just made a nice healthy scrub. Since it is

slightly abrasive, do not get it in the eyes.

Page 15: ACV Toner

To use: Lightly dampen skin with warm water, then place the gentle scrub on your face. Using your fingertips only, (no wash cloths) gently massage into facial skin. Do that until you feel a nice tingle and no more. Rinse with

warm water, and end with cooler water and let air dry.

It feels so good, and it tastes great if you get it in your mouth, I did a little because if used it to gently scrub my

lips. ( but not around my eyes, the skin is too delicate there.

I like this recipe I made because, yes, it tastes great, it is safe, it is not a soap, and they are the ingredients I and others are learning all about on this site for great health. ( well not sure about the oatmeal part, but I chose it instead of salt because of the natural oils in it) ( I also chose the baking powder because it felt softer, and less

abrasive.)

My skin feels so soft. I did the nose wrinkle test after my skin air oxidized, and it was not tight at all.

I used it on my arms, elbows, legs and knees for the dry patches, since the weather has cooled down, and my skin

needs more moisture.

I did not use moisturizer after. I tested makeup over it ladies, and it went on smooth. Men, this is a sweet concoction, you will love it too. It may be too abrasive for young peoples skin. Common sense will let you know. This is great to do, (if you are not in the bath or shower) while sipping on your acv tea. If you feel that your skin is still too dry in places, just touch the inside of the oil cap with your clean finger, and that is just enough to use. I am going to keep reading and learning. I have never felt this great since I can remember way back even in my

childhood when I was nauseated and missed much school.

Ok, now I would like feedback on this recipe that I made, please because I do not want to lead any one wrong with this recipe. Thank you for reading, and thank you always for the builders of this site and all who are helping families grow together in great health and in love. Once we learn how to get out of pain, we must also remember to eat right and learn which things are safe even for brushing teeth, cleansing skin, washing clothes, dishes and cleaning our homes, and planting gardens and finding out which things are best for natural pesticides. I did at one time use pickle juice around the roses to keep them coral, and not get pink. I also used egg shells ( soaked in water) and tuna liquids for plants. Diluted of course, the tuna one outside. This site is a blessing from God, for we are all gathered together here, learning and getting out of pain together, and so lets keep our voices out here so that we can claim back our world and Gods children, free of pain and diseases and conditions. Read, Read, Read

and get smart. And, let your mind, soul and body be your guide, amen. I love you all."

[YEA]  07/06/2008: Ashley from Canal Fulton, OH replies: "oh my god. that was the most amazing thing i've ever put on my face. i didn't have rolled oats, but i just used regular kind and it's just as good i think. i have about 4 zits on my chin. they're kind of big too. they look HORRIBLE. :| my skin is rrrrrrreally dry around those areas and my nose, so whenever i put my makeup on, it shows the dry skin so well and it looks terrible. i used your scrub, and i swear it already took so much dead/dry skin off my face. i have a date tomorrow, and i really don't want my face looking HORRIBLE. so

hopefully this'll make my skin a bit better. thanks a ton=]"

01/23/2009: Robin from Rocky Ridge, Ohio replies: "Oatmeal is often used as an exfoliant in scrubs for the face or the body. It is suggested to put rolled oats in a muslin drawstring bag and hang under the faucet of the tub then use the filled bag as a sponge to wash with. The oat "milk" has soothing properties for the skin. Another tip would be to run the uncooked old fashioned oats through a food processor or blender to grind them down to a granular size.

Sometimes I make a similar scrub and add black strap molasses or a whole egg to the mixture.

Also, baking soda is an alkaline substance that dissolves grease and oil; AC Vinegar is an acid which will exfoliate and the skin prefers an acid ph. Combining the two together neutralizes the acid and the alkaline properties of the individual ingredients.

Since I'm a little older and do not have oily skin, I would not use the baking soda and reap the benefits of the vinegar as a hydroxy acid type of facial. Those with oily skin might add the baking soda to dissolve excess oil and leave out the vinegar. Otherwise, there is enough abrasive qualities to the sugar and the oats to help remove dead skin cells. Blessings, Robin"
