PLANETS OF THE SOLAR SYSTEM

MERCURY is so close to the Sun that suffered the greatest temperaturedifferences between day and night of all the planets, which can be 600 º Cdifferencebetween day and also noche.Eso because rotates very slowly, havinga day on Mercury duration of 176 days on Earth and a year on Mercury 88 Earthdays. That is,the years pass Mercury faster than the days.

VENUS is the planet that is closest to Earth is the brightest its temperature is veryhigh(480 ° C approx.) Venus occurs greenhouse Since Venus is closer to the Sunthan the Earth is only visible at dawn and after the sunset

EARTH is a unique planet in the solar system and probably unique in the UniverseHas life. This is a delicate balance of many factors. Has an atmosphere with acombination of ideal gases: Nitrogen (78%), Oxygen (21%) and other gases likewater vapor, carbon dioxide (CO2). A little green house effect but not much. Theatmosphere has a layer of ozone gas (O3) that filters thesun radiation has negative water (H2O), a substance with properties such thatwithout it life would be impossible, as we know it.

MARS is a rocky planet seen from Earth describes a strange path. Sometimes itseems that changes direction back and forth across the sky as seen fromEarth. This planet has polar ice caps, like Earth. Its red color is dueto iron oxide and having the color of blood, was named after the Roman god of war. Mars has two small satellites. Mars is smaller than Earth, but moreslowly rotated on its axis makes the length of their days is only 41 minutes longer than on Earth.

JUPITER is the largest planet in the solar system turns on itself very quickly: Your

day is only 9.84 hours. It consists of gases but is suspected inside a small rocky

core about the size of Earth. The mass of Jupiter is only 8 times less than that

necessary to raise the temperature enough to start fusion and become stars.

SATURN is the planet known for its rings, formed by numerous small icy

particles as small moons revolving around the planet in the same plane with nearly

circular paths. Its rings are visible from Earth. Saturn's rings have a thickness of

approximately 100 meters. This thickness is a few times larger objects that make

up the rings. All its 18 satellites and rings have their orbits in the same plane and is

the only planet in thesolar system with 2 and 3 satellites in orbit.

URANUS also has rings, but are not visible from Earth. It is namedafter Urania, the Greek muse of astronomy. Its axial tilt is 98 ° and also affects the

rings and its 15 satellites. That is, the planet rotates with Ecuador almost

perpendicular to its orbit. This tilt causes seasons Uranus has very long: about

42 Earth years of light, followed by as many years of darkness.

NEPTUNE is the outermost of the gas planets. His position was

calculatedmathematically and in 1846 its existence was proven right in the

position than previously thought. Although it has an axial tilt similar to Earth, the

Sun is so farlacking as Earth stations.

PLUTON is the farthest planet from the Sun, but its orbit is an area that is within

the orbitof Neptune. In 1999 Pluto left the area leaving closer to the

Sun Neptune him.

The planets from the Sun are large, gaseous, and have many moons, however,

Pluto is the smallest planet
