Impact on Our Students
Ninoshka Arroyo ValentínUndergraduate Accounting & ProjectManagement Student
"I started my university studies in 2018, in theconcentration of Psychology. My goal was alwaysto be a doctor since I was little, but when I startedat the Business and Economic DevelopmentCenter, which was in my first semester offreshman year, I had the opportunity to seedifferent areas which I had never taken intoconsideration in my professional life. That sameyear, thanks to the experiences I was getting atthe BEDC, I applied to the StartingBlockFellowship, held at the Marshall Business School,University of Southern California. The experience Igot in both places made me see and understandthat I had other professional goals, that is why Idecided to switch to Accounting for my secondyear. I would like to continue working in theConsulting area and continue with graduatestudies. "
"When I entered the university my goal was tograduate in the area of IndustrialMicrobiology and to continue my graduatestudies in medical school. When I arrived atthe BEDC, I didn't have the slightestknowledge of the business area and it was anarea that at first I really didn't like. Afterstarting and performing at my job, myacademic career took a turn. I fell in love withthe business area, especially being able toprovide that support to the students of ourcampus so that they can be theentrepreneurs of this new generation.Realizing how much I loved working withbusiness, I changed my concentration andstarted studying Social Sciences with a Minorin Business Development. This is with thegoal of being able to perform in the corporatelaw field once I graduate from law school.Working at the BEDC opened many doors forme, I gained knowledge and experience thatwill help me in my future as a professional."
