CLUSTER INOVA-RIA
Inova-Ria is the entity created to consolidate the cluster and contribute for the development and competitiveness of the Aveiro Region and of the ICT Sector in Portugal. Hardware and software development and manufacturing are both the core of this innovative cluster that gathers more than 3500 high-skilled workers.
CLUSTER INOVA-RIA
Inova-Ria is a companies’ association for an innovation network founded in 2003 following decades of development in the region telecommunications cluster. (since the fifties) All of those years were marked by the founding of an world class university, hundreds of innovative companies and R&D facilities from several multinationals (The biggest Portuguese speaking R&D campus for the information and communications technologies sector is located in Aveiro)
CLUSTER INOVA-RIA
Inova-Ria promotes, co-funds and manages collaborative projects (national and European) with its members companies and international institutions and companies: R&D on ICT, regional innovation and international quality standards in software development are our main areas of focus. Inova-Ria supplies the cluster with top human resources throughout its activities in talent scouting within the top Portuguese universities and HR placement for technology based companies

• 2,1 Million € of investment • 30 companies, 30 international quality standards:
• CMMI-Dev 2, CMMI-Dev 3 and CMMI-Dev5 • IT Mark, IT Mark Premium, IT Mark Services • ISO 27001; ISO 20000 and ISO 9001• NP 4457
BACKGROUND
• Inova-Ria is supporting implementation of quality standards in ICT SMEs since 2009
• 3 previous Projects: QuERIA, ACTOR 1 and ACTOR 2
