FILM SYNOPSISIn the winter of 1952, New England was hit by the most brutal north wind in years. As the weather wreaked havoc on earth, freezing Atlantic made him a windswept, full of danger zone, setting the stage for one of the most heroic rescue stories ever to have lived. In the early hours of Monday, February 18, while the storm raged, two tankers, the Pendleton and Fort Mercer, were found in the same horrible situation. They built with "dirty steel" were unprepared to deal with such temporary. Leaving dozens of men aboard completely at the mercy of the Atlantic. In a small lifeboat, facing the storm and freezing temperatures, four members of the Coast Guard are preparing to rescue the thirty sailors trapped aboard the ship is sinking. Based on the true story of the rescue mission of castaways barred after this disaster, from the events described in the 2009 novel of the same name written by Casey Sherman and Michael J. Tougias, The Finest Hours is a drama directed by Craig Gillespie. Duration: (1h 57min)Directed by: Craig GillespieStarring: Chris Pine, Casey Affleck, Ben Foster moreGenre: Historical, Drama, Action.
