Claudia  Ehlert  (ICBM)  parYcipated  in  the  GEOTRACES  dissolved  Si  isotope  intercalibra#on  organized  by  M.  Brzezinski  (USA).  

The  new  trace  metal  clean  roseYe  and  winch  of  Geomar,  Kiel,  were  successfully  used  for  trace  metal  sampling  on  the  SE  AtlanYc  GEOTRACES  cruise  (GA-­‐08).    

Two  new  GEOTRACES  reference  samples  for  surface  waters  (SAG)  and  for  deep  waters  near  2200  m  (CAB)  were  collected  in  the  SE  AtlanYc.  More  than  500  x  0.5L  samples  were  filtered,  homogenized,  acidified  and  boMled  

Small  dissolved  REE  intercomparison  study  published  (iniYated  by  M.  Behrens,  ICBM)  using  new  seaFAST  method  and  deep  water  from  SAFe  (3000  m).
