AHA services based on Internet-of-Things are promising to be a strategic component to support the creation of ecosystems able to dynamically answer and prevent the challenges faced by the health and social care systems: the “always-connected” paradigm is becoming a way of life, and this could result in a positive transformation for health and social care systems who are looking for new ways to reorient the provision of care and keep older people active and independent for longer. In this context, the ACTIVAGE project is the European answer to this challenge. This is the Large Scale Pilot funded by the European Commission to demonstrate the value of the Internet of Things in deploying, validating and replicating solutions for AHA. The project is currently implementing solutions in nine sites all over Europe, but is now ready to collaborate, replicate and scale up solutions and business cases in new sites through synergies and alliances. During this session the views, challenges, visions and perspectives of the three speakers that are currently involved in this initiative will be presented with the aim of making a positive and sustainable impact to the AHA community. Expanding the frontiers towards collaboration

The "Active & Healthy Ageing" (AHA) community is wide and heterogeneous in terms of needs, demands and living environments.
