Christy Nockels has a podcast she calls “The Glorious in the Mundane”. In a recent podcast she said “As we read [the Bible] we get to invite the author who breathed out all its words to come to read along with us and to speak through what He already breathed out. This makes it ancient but also makes it alive and fresh and active in us and through us today. “All these moments happened; these encounters, they are happening in our own lives today because the Word is living and active and has the power to transform us!”

Her words were a great encouragement to me bringing a renewed sense of wonder about how the Holy Spirit leads us and transforms us!

If you are longing to reignite your love for the Word, or if you would benefit from some accountability to go after daily transformation through the reading of the Word, or if you love to read the Word and share insight with others, I invite you to join the new group starting January 1 to read through the New Testa-ment in 2020. We will read daily on our own, then come together once a week to share what the Holy Spirit is teaching us, how he is training us and how he is transforming us!

We will meet after Young at Heart, Tues, Dec 10, in the Fellowship Hall at 1:30 p.m. to decide when we will meet starting in January and to discuss the format of our group. If you can’t meet with us that day, you are still welcome to join the group as we begin in January.

“I seek you with all my heart; Do not let me stray from your commands.” - Psalm 119:10
