It was agreed the minutes were correct.

3. Food Safety at Home

During this session the following was discussed:

What safety means

Food Safety

Keeping hands clean

Keeping worktops clean

Separating raw food from ready to eat food

Checking the label

Use by dates

Best before dates

Chopping boards

Storing food safely

Food poisoning

After the information sharing we broke up into two groups, and with support made fresh fruit salad which everyone enjoyed. We then did a quiz answering questions on what we had learnt during the morning. Everyone agreed that we should do something like this again.

Graeme informed everyone that Alison Fadesco will be coming to the next meeting to discuss Safe Places. Graeme thanked Homefield College for carrying out visits to Safe Places and confirmed that he has given this to Alison who has found it very useful.

Alix confirmed that the Walk dates will be confirmed for the next meeting
