ACT Confirmation Schedule 6
Just like that, summer is coming to an end. It always seems too short and to fly by too quickly. It did go extremely fast for me because I spent most of it doing course work. But all is well! I fin-ished five intensive course studies this summer, leaving me with just two classes left this fall. This means I will be finished with school shortly after Thanksgiving and one year sooner than expected. I am looking forward to having that behind me. Guessing not nearly as much as my family is! Thank you to all of you who gave me extra support and encouragement through this. It was definitely intense, but it’s done.
In early August I read a beautiful devotion centered in Psalm 118:24 and it has been on my mind since. “This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it”! I think this is a good verse to keep close to our hearts. Each day we are given an opportunity to let go of yesterday and to be mindful of what God gives us for today. Even, and especially on the days when it might be more difficult to find something to rejoice in. God will grant us courage and grace suf-ficient to meet the challenges of the day. When this is our focus we can recognize and hold onto the gifts God gives us each day.
I am looking forward to fall; cooler temps, bold colors, har-vest, confirmation, Sunday School, parish events, and the return of our lake lovers. But mostly, I am rejoicing in what God gives today.
Peace to you! Pastor Michelle
