Overthelastyears,BoliviahasbecomeoneofthefrontrunnersofeconomicgrowthandsocialdevelopmentinLatinAmerica.Whilemostoftheregionshowsstagnantgrowthrates,Bolivia’sGDPhasbeengrowingconstantlybymorethan5%since2011.Inflationrates(5%),publicdeficit(17%ofGDP)andforeignreserves(14.8BillionUSD)arewellundercontrol.Since the nationalization of the hydrocarbon sector in 2006 and theelectricity sector in 2009, the investment climate in Bolivia has becomemuchmorefavorable.PresidentEvoMoralesandhisadministrationknowthattheydependonforeigntechnologyandinvestmentstocopewithrisingenergydemand.
