The AQ trademark first appeared in 1992 when the company resumed loudspeaker production in Litovel. First

models were targeted at the consumer market providing good quality sound with high specification at affordable

prices. This is when the first completed line 2XX was launched using only Czech TVM speakers. Over time, we began

to use Danish Vifa speakers for our higher end models. Inspired by our early successes, we developed other high-end

lines such as the Baltic, Dino and Snow-white using top Danish Scan-speak drivers. Around this time, demands were

growing for specialist professional applications in arenas such as theatres, studios, concert halls etc. This growth

in trade significantly increased our production and we heavily invested in modern

CNC machining technology and precision measuring devices that equipped us with

the tools to mass produce as well as specialise on high-end projects.

Our product has been used in some really interesting acoustic applications such

as the Convent of St. Agnes, the sound distribution of Sloup, the natural concert halls

of Catherine Javoricko’s cavern, the Czech Museum of Music and for sound distribution

at the Bardejov Ice Hockey stadium to name but a few.

Our new ranges in this catalogue are a blend of old and new production

techniques. The whole of the Labrador range is constructed using the new type

of sandwich front panels with round edging combined with drivers from tried and tested suppliers that we have used

for many years. We continue working with suppliers such as TVM, Vifa, Scan-speak, Peerless as well as new partners

like Lyeco and German LPG. All internal loudspeaker connections are soldered and the crossovers are made with DBD

(device by device) connections avoiding problematical PCB’s. We produce a variety of amplifiers such as High-end

amp AQ 216, monobloc AQ MONO, commercial stereo amp M2, MULTIMEDIA M 21, phono preamp AQ MM and our

subwoofer amplifier modules with active crossovers. All our production and assembly remains in the Czech Republic.

AQ produce loudspeakers to fit in with a wide spectrum of consumer lifestyles. Our ranges have a high aesthetic

value and are considered as luxury furniture pieces.

A three-way vented system in a very rigid cabinet with a sandwiched

(four-ply) front panel and rounded side shell. It consists of a unique system of inner braces together with a mixture of inner dumping material. The Scan-Speak revelator drivers are mounted on different levels which help to compensate phase shifts resulting in a very smooth and precise sound.

A two-way vented loudspeaker in a very rigid cabinet. The cabinet is made of

mdf in a three slice sandwich system. The asymmetric shape and parabolic shell help to reduce the inside standing waves and is excellent housing for the Scan-Speak Kevlar cone 8” woofer and revelator tweeter. Intricate detailing, excellent neutral sound.

A two-way monitor loudspeaker of bass-reflex baffle and a highly perfected

design of a rigid box supported by a double panel. It incorporates vifa speaker units with an elaborate crossover. This creates a very harmonic unit. high sensitivity and maximum neutrality.

A two-way bass-reflex vented cabinet, small in size but a great sound. The woofer is made of a glass fibre cone in a die-cast

basket. Both the tweeter and the woofer are produced by the danish company vifa. The front panel is of a 27mm thick sandwich construction and is ideal for small rooms and acoustic music. It is practical as a surround speaker and works well with the labrador 26 as a front channel and the labrador 176 as the centre.

Range of loudspeakers dedicated to stage and professional applications. All Profi Line speakers have high sensitivity and are housed in heavy duty cases with handles, grills and plastic corners. The two and three-way compacts are mainly equipped with Eminence drivers with power handling from 150 to 800 WRMS and the tweeters are protected against long-term overloading. Adaptable for specific professional applications in traditional settings such as churches, museums etc.
