What is HIRA: HIRA is a process that consists of a number of sequential steps such as hazard identiication, consequences & frequency assessment, risk estimation based on the existing controls and recommendations to reduce those risks which are not under acceptable limits.
Objective of HIRA: To carryout a systematic, critical appraisal of all potential hazards involving personnel, services and operation method; to identify the existing safeguards available to control the risks due to the hazards and; to suggest additional control measures to reduce the risk to acceptable level.
