Vantage Ultra new purebred boar is our high conformation recommended sire line boar. The Ultra is an excellent terminal sire, generating hybrid vigour. Also, the Ultra’s excellent lean tissue feed efficiency produces the ideal finished processing pig.

Vantage Refine is our meat quality sire line boar derived from the Duroc. The meat quality is exhibited through his progeny which display darker coloured meat with slightly higher intra-muscular fat. The Refine is ideally suited for specialist processing pig requirements.

Vantage Tradition purebred boar is our classic and highly recommended Large White sire line boar. Tradition, because of its unrivalled reputation for producing consistent high-class carcasses which are ideally suited for the most stringent grading classifications.

Vantage Extreme is our extreme conformation sire line boar. Its extreme conformation has been developed for those producers who require well conformed muscling. In addition, this terminal sire line has very little backfat, enabling it to meet tighter grading and lean meat specifications.

A new Windows-based pig management software package from ACMC. In use around the world keeping track of stock from birth to marketplace.

Designed by pig producers for pig producers, PigCom is an easy–to-use, computer-based programme recording for both the breeding and feeding herds. It tracks valuable performance parameters of the separate stages of the breeding cycle for sows and growth within the feeding herd.

PigCom can handle information from multiple farms and provide consolidated summaries for weekly

and monthly data, improving management information for better analysis of key business performance indicators. The software can be set up with specific farm targets and key performance figures, tailoring reports to individual farm requirements.

The “intelligent” system produces a full range of management reports while offering an intuitive menu to make for easy navigation through the programme and a high degree of data integrity. It is simple to use with no requirement for previous software knowledge.

The ACMC Genebank has been developed in order to ensure the highest semen quality, biosecurity and customer service that would only be expected by the discerning pig producer. Our

stud operators have amassed many years of experience in stud control and day-to-day management. Boar semen from the Genebank is used on our own ACMC commercial demonstration farm.

Biosecurity - Prior to new boars entering the stud’s isolation premises they have been produced and selected only from ACMC Genetic Nucleus farms. Whilst in isolation they under go the most rigorous health checks laid down by ACMC and EU boar AI stud protocols, making the Genebank EU Approved. Our stud, and the boars within, are inspected weekly by independent veterinary surgeons. Added to this, our boar

stud is independently audited for sound protocols to ensure product control and quality. These regular health inspections are in place to protect the end-user.

Worldwide AI - Semen is packaged and dispatched to many different countries worldwide as fresh semen. Using special thermo packaging and extender diluents ACMC boar semen will both travel safely and live for several days after arrival for farm use. So whether you are a customer within the UK or in another country, ACMC product quality will ensure good results.

Semen quality - Good stockmanship and handling encourages the boars to produce viable and healthy semen, which is essential to obtain optimum conception and litter size. Our laboratory has its own fully controlled environment focusing on hygiene, temperature control and working efficiency. ACMC’s meticulous on-farm testing and meat quality work, gathering information for individual carcass traits for both our sire and dam lines, reaps the benefits with the slaughter processor. Lean tissue food conversion, lean tissue growth rates, leanness and meat quality are all areas that ACMC focuses on in the testing regime.

Whatever the finished pig contract is, ACMC genetics will ensure optimum performance on any carcass specification.
