The Chief Librarian is licensed, full-time and possesses a masters degree in Library Science/Information Science. The chief librarian is appointed by the President and reports directly to him or to the highest academic officer of the institution. The chief librarian directs and supervises the total operations of the library. The chief librarian participates in curricular, instructional and research activities in the institution. 20. The library maintains regularly updated written policies and procedural manuals. CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION ON LIBRARY FINANCIAL SUPPORT24Area VII, Library of the AACCUP standards has seven areas of Criteria for evaluation. FINANCIAL SUPPORT The institution allocates a regular and26realistic budget for the library. The head librarian and staff, coordination with other officials of the institution, prepare and manage the library budget. All fees and funds allocated for library resources and services are utilized solely for such purposes and property audited. Other sources of financial assistance are sought. 27.
