The acquisition of Intertecno

Since January 1, 2017, Intertecno has been incorporated into Artelia Italia, bringing

to the latter its vast experience (over forty years) and expertise in the construction

of quality buildings, especially hotels, executive offices, shopping malls, healthcare

and industrial facilities, both in Italy and international markets.

By merging with Intertecno, Artelia Italia extends its services in the field of “Building

& Industry”, including project management, multidisciplinary design, contract

management, construction management, cost management, planning, reporting

and various other professional services. By doing so Artelia Italia also confirms

its commitment to eco-sustainable design and energy efficiency and increases its

ability to assist its customers in their international expansion processes.

The new structure will enhance customer service in Italy as well as in international

expansion and export processes.

Artelia in Italy

Artelia Italia is one of the most important companies in the

Group for the range of services offered, business volume and

workforce.

Created in 2001, it has earned a leading position in our country

in Project Management as well as in retail and multi-site engi-

neering. Our activities focus mainly on the private sector, where

we operate as a technical partner to many multinational compa-

nies, optimising their investment in real estate assets.

In 2015, Artelia Italia consolidated its position through the ac-

quisition of Intertecno, one of the most important Italian engi-

neering companies in the construction sector. As a result of this

initiative it has become a leading Italian engineering company

with an annual turnover of around € 28 million and employing

over 250 people operating in Rome and Milan.

Artelia has a worldwide network of 95 locations in more than

35 countries. In 2016, the consolidated turnover of the Group

amounted to over 400 million euros, employing over 4000 people.

Building & IndustryLeading in expertise and experience in the construction and industrial sectors

In the private sector, as in the public sector, we have consoli-

dated our expertise in BUILDING and VALORIZING structures to

be renovated or reconditioned for new uses.

We carry out projects in various sectors of real estate: offices,

residential, tourist-hotel, shopping malls, industrial plants,

historic buildings and hospitals. We apply methods that we have

perfected through years of experience, adjusting them according

to the specificity of individual projects. We help our customers

to renew their properties and to optimise their management, as

well as mapping essential profitability processes to maximise

the real estate portfolio performance.

HospitalitySpecifically in the tourism-hospitality field ARTELIA Hospitality

is our Centre of Excellence and Innovation, which offers hotel

and restaurant customers a tailor-made service to assist in

the development and enhancement of their real estate assets.

Significant results led, for example, to the delivery of the Ho-

tel Le Méridien Saigon in Vietnam and the Meliá Paris Hotel La

Défense and the Hilton Paris Opéra in France. ARTELIA Hospi-

tality has been involved in the restructuring of the Carlton Hotel

in Cannes, in several renovation projects and the expansion of

prestigious properties in London (Savoy Hotel, Hotel Imperial

and St Martins Lane Hotel) and the creation of the new mari-

na and Hotel complex in Casablanca, Morocco. In Italy, we have

been working in recent years on the renovation of the iconic

Palace Hotel and 5-star hotels in Rome, Milan, Florence, Venice

as well as in beach resorts mainly in Sicily, boasting over 40

sector-specific references.

investment in international fuel retail distribution networks.

Based on our experience, we are developing innovative concepts

for future service stations, integrating new technologies and

solutions, lifestyles and means of transport with great attention

to environmental issues.

Some examples include the construction of service stations

with alternative fuel plants (LNG, CNG, hydrogen) and the

implementation of modular prefabricated solutions for shops

located in service stations, shuttles and other key components.

We are leaders in MULTI-SITE and MULTI-COUNTRY PROJECTS.

Managing hundreds of multi-site projects in Italy and around the

world and always maintaining levels of excellence is a challenge

that is renewed every day.

We assist clients in strategy, design, execution, and operational

phases by simultaneously managing re-branding and site re-

styling projects, implementing new forms or concepts, restruc-

turing and managing site rebuilding projects.

We are privileged to work on the implementation of new con-

Typical examples of multi-site clients include retail chains,

Energy and Environmental Sustainability Our commitment to efficiencyenergy and renewable sources

Energy transformation is a fundamental challenge for the fu-

ture of our companies and we at Artelia are firmly engaged

in this great transformation. Our Group is supporting the cre-

ation of services that can control CO2 emissions and is fo-

cused on developing renewable energy. We are also involved

in extending power distribution grids and improving energy

efficiency in buildings.

Our staff are certified for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Envi-

ronmental Design) standard design.

Moreover Artelia Italia is an ESC (Energy Service Company)

company. We also confirmed our commitment to sustainabil-

ity in 2015, by signing the framework agreements on water

that have been elaborated in COP21: to preserve and share a

vital resource.

At international level we can also boast the excellence of

GRENOBLE’s hydraulic modeling workshop.

A 10,000 sq.m. center where hydraulic scale models can be re-

produced. This strategic resources, combined with the use of so-

phisticated mathematical models, enables the design and devel-

opment of complex infrastructure solutions in maritime and port

areas. All of the above is centered on sustainable development,

resource optimisation, and quality and safety assurance.

The BIM

Keeping up with the new trendsin design

A new profession that plays a key role in promoting communi-

cation between the various parties in a project is Building In-

formation Modeling (BIM). We have developed professionalism

in this field over several years. This is a method for optimising

the planning, realisation and management of buildings and in-

frastructures through the use of interoperable software.

Thanks to BIM, we can combine complete databases with a 3D

digital representation that allows you to visualise all the spacial

qualities of a building, integrating them with the virtual qualities

(cost, materials used, etc.).
