Clicking on a file name will open the document within a Google Docs window and allow you to make edits or save to another computer to use with Office applications.

Adding a file to your Google Docs Account

1. Select the option to Upload your file. 2. Click on “Select files to upload.”

Choose the location of your saved file. 3. You can select more than one file.

Once you have your files listed, click Start Upload.

4. To return to your account list, click on “Back to Google Docs”

You files are available to use from any computer that has Internet access.

Saving a file from your Google Docs Account to your computer If you wish to make a copy of the file in your Google Docs account for use on your home computer:

1. Right-click on the file you wish to copy and select Export. 2. Select the file type and click Download. 3. Choose to Save or Open the file. If you choose

Save, be sure to select the correct destination location and file type.

Using Google Docs for editing your file You can edit a converted file within your Google Docs Account.

1. Double-click the file from your account list. This will open another window containing the contents of your file.

2. You have some of the basic features for editing that you have within the Office application. Not all features are available. Be sure to Save any changes you make to the file. You will need to close the file window in order to return to your Google Docs Account list.

3. If you open a file and use Google Docs for your editing and you want to save it to a computer, choose File, Download as and choose the type of file you wish to use. Choose the destination location on your computer.
