Business operators must ensure that their online properties, in particular, their websites are fully supportive of the mobile technology preferences of the customer traffic they receive. In this presentation, Vincent Brown, a.k.a. the WordPress Warrior, examines the dramatic and continuing proliferation of mobile technology usage by Australians as evidenced by current AIMIA Australian Mobile Phone Lifestyle Index survey results, and identifies the most common tasks consumers perform with their devices; and how these are best catered for effectively. Key recommendations to be covered in this regard include the importance of having a responsive design website, employing local search optimisation and the use of mobile friendly email templates.
