GLOBAL SISTERS: MAKING BUSINESS POSSIBLE # b e t t e r B U S I N E S S Global Sisters provides a better solution for women unable to access a mainstream job due to their circumstances. We make self-employment a genuine alternative by providing women with a one-stop-shop of business support, enabling them to establish and grow a sustainable business. These businesses allow women to be financially independent and create a ripple effect of positive change in their family and community. 

O U R A C C E L E R A T E P R O G R A MThe Global Sisters Accelerate program is focused on creating socio-economic impact through business and supporting women to become financially independent and stand tall. The Accelerator team focuses on business ideation, start-up education and incubation and acceleration support for women's business. Accelerator Leads in each State work directly with our Sisters, Community Partners and Business Coaches, facilitating our Sisters journey along the roadmap (see Roadmap diagram below).

The Accelerator Lead is responsible for engaging with new and existing Sisters, business coaches and community partners, directly delivering programs and making the business education, coaching, microfinance, retail and technology support accessible and effective to our Sisters.

O U R A C C E L E R A T O R T E A MThe Global Sisters Accelerator team is made up of Leads in the following regions: ACT, Sydney, Brisbane, Hume (Victoria) and Melbourne. The Leads are all highly entrepreneurial, with expertise in networking, connecting, building capacity and empowering others to succeed in business.

The Accelerator program works closely with the Global Sisters Retail, Microfinance and Business Education programs.

W H O W E S U P P O R T Global Sisters supports women who are facing barriers to economic participation and have limited and limiting options. We provide a real alternative for women who have special vulnerabilities or are excluded from mainstream employment, yet who are motivated to be self-employed. 

We support women at the earliest stage of business concept development to women with marginal, fledgling businesses. 

Sisters connect with Global Sisters through Community Partners or direct contact with Global Sisters. After the digital screening process, Sisters can access our 'roadmap' of support. Accelerator Leads support Sisters to access the core Global Sisters programs- business education & coaching, microfinance, technology and marketing & sales. They coordinate the right support at the right time for each Sister.

The business incubation, development and acceleration support is intended to have a positive social impact in the following areas: business acumen, enterprise, economic status, empowerment and influence.

Engage Community Partners and Manage Partnerships Area mapping and business development for new pipelines of Sisters via Community Partner referrals. Manage existing partnerships.

Engage Sisters & Accelerate their Business Development Develop a network/ pipeline of new Sisters from our target cohort.  Coordinate their access to our 'end to end' business incubation, acceleration and development support through our 'roadmap' of programs. Provide the same support to existing Sisters.

Engage, match and support Business Coaches Recruit, induct and engage business coaches and match Sisters with a team of coaches. Offer speed & group coaching opportunities for addressing specific business development needs. Support and develop the capacity of business coaches.

Direct delivery of programs and facilitate access to full suite of GS support/ programs Deliver My Big Idea, support the delivery of Sister School and manage monthly business meet ups. Ensure that each Sister can access and make the most of all of the GS business development support, including our #SisterTribe community.

Social Impact Support the data collection for our social impact program, measuring changes in business acumen, the enterprise, financial resilience, empowerment and the ripple effect to family and community.  Use this data effectively to improve our impact.

SELECTION CRITERIA

This is an awesome, unique role where you can make a real difference every day. You're be working at both a strategic and grassroots level, providing F2F support to women in business.

You'll have the opportunity to use your business development and entrepreneurial skills to create social good. This is big role and you'll have the opportunity to make your mark in the sector. You'll be part of an innovative, rapidly scaling and high impact model. 

You'll be part of a fabulous team and work with an awesome group of women!
