Distance Learning Programme

This is your guide to the course and splits the syllabus into manageable study sessions. Sessions are prioritised as high, medium or low to help you focus your studies.

Study Text

Our study texts comprehensively cover the syllabus so you can link topics together easily and use the exam question bank to prepare for the exam.

Practice and Revision Kit

This includes tutorial questions, past exam questions, two mock assessments and model solutions with guidance for approaching the actual exam so you will be fully prepared.

Passcards

Passcards are pocket sized revision notes so you can quickly and easily revise the key topics and make use of any spare time leading up to the exam.

BPP i-Pass CD (for Knowledge Level students - only)

This is one of the few products currently on the market which mirrors the real exam for computer based assessments. BPP’s i-Pass CD uses a core of 300 questions allowing you to attempt numerous mock exams making it an ideal revision tool.

BPP Success CD (for Skills, Essentials and Option papers)

This is an audio CD which provides a condensed coverage of the syllabus following the sequence of the study text.

Mock Exams

Two mock exams plus suggested solutions are included as part of your Distance Learning pack. Mock exams can also be submited for marking to the Distance Learning department.

Distance Support Session

Our Exam Question Practice (EQP) Face-to-Face Session is now available to Distance Learning students. This session will take place towards the end of your study period and it is designed to help you improve your exam technique. You will complete exam standard questions during the evening and you will receive instant feedback from our tutor.

Course Notes

These contain diagrammatic overviews of key syllabus topics with lecture examples and summary notes, in order to make the learning process as efficient as possible.

They are designed to be used in conjunction with all other Distance Learning materials. We strongly recommend you to attend the distance support sessions to make the best use of your course notes!

Delivery

The delivery cost of materials in Ireland is also included as part of your Distance Learning fee. Delivery outside of Ireland will involve additional charges. All packages are delivered by courier and require signature on

delivery.

Deferrals and Cancellations

Deferrals must be requested in writing six weeks prior to the exam. Distance Learning Basics deferrals involve a fee of d25. Distance Learning Basics Plus deferrals involve a fee of d75.

Cancellations: refunds are not granted after the initial delivery of the Distance Learning material. When requested after booking, but before delivery, the cancellation

fee is d75 fee per paper.

BPP’s Basics Plus Package

Basics Plus is available for all ACCA papers except for Irish Variant F4, F6 and P6 and it includes all of the Distance Learning Basics materials and services plus access to BPP’s online learning environment.
