ACADEMICS FINAL EXAMINATIONS From the 15th- 23rd Final Examinations was held for Grades 5-9 at the Senior School. Students appeared for their respective subjects on designated dates. On most days, the exam was in 2 slots and started from 8:30-10:30 and then from 11-1pm. CIE BOARD EXAMS 2019 DPS STS School Senior Section is a CIE Board Exam venue for IGCSE/O, AS & A level exam and is currently hosting the May- June Board Exam which started from 15th April for DPS STS School Candidates in an external venue (Oxford International School Dhaka-- Art and Design Exam). Except Art and Design Exam, DPS STS School is the Exam venue for DPS Candidates for their all written and practical exams. A total of three hundred Thirty Candidates are sitting for May-June Board Exam this year. GRADUATION CEREMONY

DPS STS School, Dhaka has celebrated its 7th Graduation Ceremony while holding the status as one of the most revered private schools under Cambridge curriculum in the country.

Around 150 students, family and staff attended the ceremony, which included awarding certificates to the graduates and the distinguished achievers in A level examination, presented to them by school Principal, Mr. Harsh Wal.

The ceremony kicked off with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Vice Principal of the school, Mrs. Madhu Wal thereafter delivered her speech to the graduates enlightening them about their future roles to become a pivotal force for the society and the country. In her laconic yet treasured speech, she reminded the graduates that now they can work on providing a unique satisfaction of repaying their debt to their country. She reiterated, there is no dearth of challenging problems in our country and the outgoing graduates should have the ability to innovate and readiness to exploit their talents for their country that matters.

After the ceremony, there was a stunning singing performance from the incumbent students of the school. There was also masterful dancing performance from the current students as well as an ingenious poetry recitation performance from one of the talented crops of departing graduates.

There was also a valedictorian speech among the departing graduates. In her heart stirring speech, Mysha Ibnat reminisced about her school days with sweet sorrow. She went back to her dream laden first day at school and lamented how leaving the school at this point of life would leave all of her batch mates with a big hollow which is never going to be filled. She also cherished the fondling moment of miracles which she had experienced over the years in the form of growing with the school under the visionary guidance of the faculty members of DPS STS School. The Gradation Day Programme concluded with the playing of National Anthem.

Later, the graduates strolled off to the school cafeteria to enjoy a traditional dinner with their family members while accumulating bundle of memories to enthrall them in their ensuing days.

Amid jubilation and enthusiasm Pahela Baishakh, the first day of Bangla Calendar, was celebrated on the 2nd in DPS STS School Dhaka to welcome Bangla New Year 1426. Teachers, admin staff and students came to school wearing traditional dresses – men wearing payjama-panjabi, women wearing sarees and students in colourful dresses. A cultural programme delineating our traditions and culture was arranged in the auditorium. With the gracious presence of Honourable Vice Principal, Madhu Wal the programme was commenced with the recitation of Surah Fatiha with its English translation. Then students from Grades 5 to 9 entertained the audience with their scintillating and mind-blowing performances – group dances, poem recitations, chorus songs, playing instruments and a fashion show. Shahin Fatema and Faris Ahmed from Grade 8 were entrusted with the role of anchoring.

FIRE EVACUATION DRILL SESSION 2018-19

On the 4th, Fire Evacuation Drill Session 2018-19 was conducted for all Teachers, Students and Admin Staffs at the Senior School. The bell was rung simultaneously at 11 am and all classes evacuated to the Assembly grounds of the Senior Campus. It was a successful event as students understood the importance of following procedure and not panic or cause a stampede when encountering a dangerous situation.

DPS Summer Sports Camp 2019 for all sports were held from 24th April – 2nd May 2019. A large number of students participated in different types for sports during the Summer Sports Camp.
