UNSW FOUNDATION STUDIES ACADEMIC ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
UFS Academic Entry Requirements Printed: May-17
Academic Entry Requirements The academic entry requirements in this document are a guide to the academic profile required of a student to be successful in the nominated UNSW Foundation Studies Program. Where possible, marginal requirements have been nominated within which a marginal offer may be made on the basis of performance in individual subjects relevant to a Stream of study. Students who submit two matriculation qualifications
Where two matriculation qualifications are submitted (e.g. Australian HSC and SATs), the more recent of the two qualifications should be used to determine the appropriate Stream of study. Where a recognised qualification is submitted along with more recent school-based results – the recognised qualification may take precedence. However, the more recent school-based results may advise on marginal applicants. Actuarial Students
Students wishing to undertake the UFS Actuarial stream must meet the Science mathematics requirement. General Requirements
A Curtin Diploma is NOT equivalent to a matriculation qualification and cannot be used for access to Transition.
No marginal offers for IB students with Maths SL or Mathematical Studies.
No marginal offers for students with the HKDSE beyond what is listed. The Extended Program from November 2017 There are specific entry requirements for the Extended Program for the following countries and internationally recognised curricula.
Cambodia Myanmar International Baccalaureate China Oman British O Levels
Hong Kong Singapore SAT Indonesia Sth Korea Macau Taiwan Malaysia Thailand
Mongolia Vietnam Applicants with other qualifications should be referred to the Assistant/Academic Director.
