What’s  covered?  

Every plan on both Medicaid and the Exchange must cover services including: • Emergency services. • Routine checkups. • Prescription medications. • Hospital care. • Maternity care. • Mental health services. • And more!

If you take prescription medications, including HIV medications and hormones, confirm that the same brands are available in your new plan before signing up.

No  cost  and  low  cost  health  care  coverage  available  to  uninsured  LGBT  New  Mexicans!

If you checked YES for all three questions above, you may be able to receive Medicaid health benefits starting January 1, 2014.

Medicaid can be free insurance. Sign up for Medicaid online at http://www.hsd.state.nm.us/mad/ or call toll free 1-888-997-2583 or in person at an ISD office, community agency, hospital, or clinic near you.

If you checked NO for any of the questions above, you may be eligible for low cost or even free insurance through the Health Insurance Marketplace.

The New Mexico Health Insurance Exchange program, also called NMHIX, allows people to purchase health insurance with financial assistance. For more information or to enroll visit http:www.bewellnm.com/. More information about Health Care Reform is available online at http://www.healthcare.gov.
