ABSTRACT
This work was based on the study of network protocol defined by American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) in Standard E1381-91 and E1394-91 that define the low-level protocol and standard message transfer between clinical analyzers and computer system required for the calculation of reagents used in the Modular System of the Laboratorio Briceño. The purpose of this research is the analysis of transmitted frames for obtaining accurate, timely and useful contribution to the performance of the processes of pre-analytical and analytical conducted in the laboratory and in the future allows the development of a tool to be used for any other analyzer that is designed to ASTM standards. This thesis project was carried out methodologically as special type of monographic research supported by documentary and field, with the execution of the following four (4) phases: (a) Assessment of the need of the organization, (b) Study ASTM Network Protocol used by the module, (c) Design of reagent consumption calculation, (c) and Evaluation of the proposed design. For all these techniques were used for collection and analysis of information obtained and reviewed the documentation module communication interface allowing us a proposal that results in real value in cost and quantity of tests, inspections and calibrations processed in it. Description: Network protocol, ASTM Standard E1381-91, Standard E1394-91, Modular System.
