TRANSCRIPT
AbstractEach year, Baja SAE (Societyof Automotive Engineer)engineering students designand build a single-seat, all-terrain prototype sportingvehicle meant to serve arecreational user market bybeing reliable, maintainable, and economically feasible.Once built, students competewith other universities in aracing competition that testsvarious aspects of the vehicle. This year, the vehicle designconsisted of two majorprojects; a completely newvehicle frame, and the firstfour-wheel drive system everimplemented on a UT TylerBaja SAE vehicle. In additionto these two major designprojects, there were varioussub-systems being altered andredesigned. These subsystemupdates included modifying thewheel hubs and brakingsystem to allow for a four-wheel drive design, updatingthe suspension with new framemounting points, and designingnew body panels usinglightweight material.
