Absolute Mobile Theft Management (MTM) for Chromebooks provides you the ability to monitor your Chromebook devices alongside Windows, Android and Apple devices in a single cloud based console. With Absolute’s infrastructure and support to mitigate Chromebook device loss, if a Chromebook is reported stolen, the Absolute Investigations team will work closely with local law enforcement to assist in the investigation and recover the device.

1. CHROMEBOOK REPORTING AND ALERTSAbsolute MTM for Chromebooks provides detailed reporting on each Chromebook in your deployment so you can:

• Monitor and report on hardware and software information• Track assets on a Google™ map including recent and historical

locations• Create geofences based on school policies that alert you when

devices are out of bounds• Identify risk conditions and set alerts and notifications when

suspicious events occur• Remote device freeze with a message to the user for status

verification

2. ABSOLUTE SAFE SCHOOLS PROGRAM Delivered by the Absolute Investigations team, the Absolute Safe Schools program implements best practices within your school to promote student safety, deter criminals, and protect your technology investment. The program includes:

• Planning meeting with school stakeholders• On-site analysis of device storage and security protocols• Comprehensive safety training for students and staff• On-site awareness campaign including “Protected Campus” signage,

safety tips posters, and anti-theft stickers• On-going interaction with school police and crime prevention officers• Device ID tagging and database for recovery services

3. THEFT INVESTIGATIONS SERVICESOnce you report a stolen Chromebook to local police, file a theft report in the Absolute console to engage the Absolute Investigations team.

The team will immediately begin an investigation, assisting the police, and facilitating the return of the device. This reduces the amount of time and resources you would typically invest in security incident management. The program includes:

• Rapid response service once a theft is reported• Investigative services• Preparation of court-ready investigative reports• Service guarantee

Absolute MTM for Chromebooks is the only solution that provides a service guarantee in the event the Absolute Investigations team is unable to recover a stolen Chromebook. Some conditions apply.

STUDENT AND DEVICE PROTECTIONThe Absolute Investigations team delivers the Absolute Safe Schools program in three simple steps:

1. PROTECT:Comprehensive safety training for students and staff including how to use a device responsibly and how to react in a security situation.

2. DETER:On-site awareness campaign including “Protected Campus” signage, safety tips posters, and anti-theft stickers for a safer school environment.

3. RECOVER:The Investigations team will work with local law enforcement to recover a stolen device. Receive up to $1,000* if the device is not recovered.
