similarities between two different but similar
groups of people in their every day life, from
morning till dawn.
A message and a reminder that there is
no difference in these two groups and therefore
there is hope.

My projectcome and see it from a different angle Abraham s name first appears as Abram, meaning either exalted fatheror my father is exalted . Later in Genesis God renamed him Abraham, father of many nations .
Abraham is hailed as the first Hebrew and the father of the Jewish and the Arab people. He had two sons, Ishmael and Isaac. Ishmael, his firstborn son, is considered the father of the Arab people and Isaac, his second son, would inherit the Land of Israel (then called Canaan). This is how the Hebrew and the Arabs were born, as brothers. Showing throughout my paintings the similarities between two different but similar groups of people in their everyday life can be seen, from morning till dawn. A message and a reminder that there is no difference and therefore hope.

Lihi Kissilevich Grossmann
Born in Israel, moved to Guatemala at the age of four. During the school years, started to practice horse back riding in the field of showjumping in a professional level, which is an activity that I am still engaged in nowadays.
Design was always part of my life. First initiative on designing was on my sister‘s hair, sticking many different types of bubble gums all over her hair. It looked very creative.
My work reflects the experience of the time spent in Tel Aviv, Guatemala, Stuttgart, Tuebingen, and Hamburg. The mixture of the different cultures and languages has a strong impact on my creations.
