He wanted to go to law school after this tragedy but his application was rejected. In 1840 he sought to become elector defeated. In 1843 he ran for Congress and lost. In 1846 he Ran for Congress again and that time he won In 1860 he won the presidential election and became the greatest president ever of US Leadership Traits: He was a cluster in himself. He had been a postmaster, shopkeeper, surveyor and a lawyer. He practiced a lower, middle and upper class job; that is why he had grown himself with leadership qualities and leaded his country in the most critical situations like civil war in USA and freedom of slaves. He had the capacity to listen to different points of view. He did share credit for success and blame of failure. He had the awareness of own weaknesses and had control over his emotions. He had the ability to communicate goals and vision. Lesson learnt: We must have the ability prove ourselves right before the public. We must have strong team; if we want to lead and succeed.
