Why is Abe Lincoln Considered to be one of the best presidents ever to live?

In my opinion I think that Abe is one of the best president ever to live because He is credited with holding the Union together and leading the North to victory in the Civil War. Further, his actions and beliefs led to the emancipation of African-Americans from the bonds of slavery. Another reason I think he is one of the best is because he is so influential he had a very inspiring story of how he was a poor farm boy who did not have a good education and ended up being the first republican to be the president of the United States of America.
