There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prizes provided by Associated British Ports. Your story can be based on historical events or people or be entirely fictional. It is up to you! The only condition is that it must include the Sea. To celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the opening of the Alexandra Dock, Associated British Ports (ABP) in partnership with True’s Yard and the Lynn News are running a short story competition. How to enter Entry is by post or email. The Judges will be: Dr Paul Richards, Local Historian and Author Mark Leslie, Editor of the Lynn News Kim Kennedy, King’s Lynn Port Manager The Prizes will be: 1st Place: £200 book vouchers and an incredible £600 will be donated to the winner’s school 2nd Place: £100 book vouchers 3rd Place: £50 book vouchers Stories can be no more than 1000 words. The submission period will be open from 1st July and close on 13th September. Entry Rules The winners will be announced on 20th September in Friday’s Lynn News.
