ABOUT WINTERGREEN TENNISWintergreen Resort is home to the Devils Knob Tennis Facility and Stoney Creek Tennis Facility. Devils Knob maintains 15 outdoor Har-Tru courts and 3 indoor Deco-Turf courts. Stoney Creek is host to 4 outdoor Har-Tru courts. In addition to the tennis courts, Devils Knob also offers a full tennis pro shop and racquet repair services, including stringing and re-gripping of tennis racquets.
Wintergreen’s Devils Knob Tennis Shop has a unique selection of tennis clothing, shoes, racquets and gifts. With the ability to try on clothing and shoes and demo racquets, every player will find exactly what suits their game. Looking for a perfect tennis gift? Wintergreen’s tennis staff boasts a plethora of tennis knowledge. Taking a private lesson will allow one of our staff professionals to give you the skills you need to maximize your game. A clinic is a fun way to get structured hitting practice while meeting members and other guests of the resort. Call or e-mail the pro shop to sign up for a private lesson or clinic!
Private Lessons and Cl inics
Private lessons are offered by all professionals on staff. Private lessons are offered for 30 minutes, 1 hour or 1.5 hours and can also be split with up to three other participants. Lesson packages are also available to get multiple lessons at a discounted rate.
Clinics are generally offered on weekends and during holidays. Clinics are available for every age and every level of play.
Advanced Workout – 90 minute clinic for 4.0+ adults and tournament level juniors who want to experience a college style workout.
Cardio Tennis – 60 minutes of heart pumping activity designed for beginner to advanced levels. No tennis experience required.
Drills for Skills – 60 minutes of cutting edge drills designed to improve your stroke production and competitive ability.
Matchplay Madness – 90 minute clinic offers 3.0 players and above concentrating on court positioning, strategy, and the mental aspect of the game.
Mighty Mites – 30 minute clinic for kids ages 4-6 focusing on fundamentals of tracking, hand-eye coordination, and basic tennis skills.
Junior Clinic – 60 minute clinic for juniors ages 7-14 where stroke production, court movement, and fun games are emphasized.
Wintergreen Resort’s Nike Tennis Camps are the highest rated camps in the area. They are designed for beginner, intermediate, and advanced players from ages 8 to 18. Intermediate and advanced players will focus on technical and tactical improvements with advanced drills, intense physical training, and lots of match play, including shot selection and mental toughness. Beginning players will learn basic stroke production and match play strategies, offering a great opportunity to learn the “sport of a lifetime”.

Stoney Creek hosts a Golf and Tennis Camp every summer. Focused on fundamentals, the golf and tennis camps are a great way for kids to learn how to play both golf and tennis.
*Overnight camps include meals, lodging, and off-court activities.
