ABOUT THIS COURSEThis program is based on KvB’s 40 years experience in delivering professional Fashion Design education. You will learn how to design, illustrate your designs, complete a range of garments, compile your portfolio and visit some of Europe’s Fashion Capitals. Our lecturers bring their industry experience into the classroom to make you job ready.

The 4 week study tour to the Berlin Fashion Week, Venice, Paris and Frankfurt will give you an appreciation of Europen fashion trends. After completing the program you should have a sound understanding of Australian and European fashion, industry based skills together with the self confidence necessary to apply for your first job or to continue with your training in Australia or Europe.

TRAVEL TO EUROPE4 weeks visiting Frankfurt, the financial capital of Germany, Berlin Fashion Week with VIP passes, Venice and Paris,

WHERE IT COULD TAKE YOUSalaries range from $35,000 for a new design assistant, to $120,000 for a head designer. Internationally recognised designers can name their price. Fashion stylists earn around $500 per day. In other roles, such as a production coordinator, salaries start from $40,000. A pattern maker can earn around $80 an hour freelance, or up to $80,000 full time.

ABOUT THIS COURSE Get real experience, visit China on a textiles and manufactuing tour.

There are not a lot of design schools that give their students International Scholarships to study overseas and this is where KvB stands out from the rest. Our travel and study tour is about gaining some real world experience in the world of garment production and material sourcing. China is undoubtedly one of the best locations in the world to source materials. This is a skill set that design students will require when they enter their careers. Our students are immersed in experiences that prepare them to take on the challenges when they wgraduate. Guangzhou and its surrounding areas are the fashion manufacturing and sourcing hub of Southern China and the world.

ABOUT THIS COURSEA post graduate program for Australian Fashion Designersseeking international experience and exposure.

“In the world of globalisation design companies are seeking professionals who are knowledgeable about international design trends and comfortable with intercultural communication.”

Young Australians, who are interested in a creative career, can no longer rely only on local content for their training. Their education should include the experience of travelling to other countries to give them a broader knowledge of international design trends and other cultures. KvB has used its 40 years of international experience in design to make this program possible.

Participants will be living in Paris for 3 months, create a collection of garments under the supervision of our French Creative Director, Damian Yee and finish their concept with a Fashion Parade in Paris to promote their individual talent to the European market. The 3 best collections will also be submitted to a number of Fashion houses for internship considerations.


ENROLMENT CRITERIAApplicants should have successfully completed a Fashion Design Course (Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor Degree).

• In the first instance, applicants should submit a resume, copies of achieved academic awards & samples of portfolio work.• Suitable candidates will then be invited to attend an interview followed by a skype meeting with the Institute’s Creative Director, Damian Yee.• Successful applicants will receive a letter of offer. Applicants can then complete their enrolment documents.
