How to Apply

• It’s a Governor’s appointment – Complete an Online Application at Governor’s website.

• Sign authorization form and send your resume to Governor’s Office.

• Also send your resume to Executive Officer.• Governor’s Office reviews your background and

interviews you.

Before Applying

• Seek approval from employer.• Request Letters of Recommendation of at least two

people.• Meet members of the Council or attend a Council

meeting.• Review member description also located on SRC’s

website for Council information and time commitments.

Tips for application process

• Update current resume, statement of qualifications or curriculum vitae to complete application.

• Document your leadership roles in organizations and professional life for use in the application process.

• Decide which representative position on the Council fits your experience best.

• Application is extensive and has a variety of questions.• Be prepared to answer questions such as:

2. Education

3. Residency

4. Taxes

5. Military experience

Once Application is completed

• Print a copy of the application for your records.• Send your resume to the SRC Executive Officer.• You will receive a letter from the Governor’s Office

acknowledging your application.
