ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Sukkot (meaning “booths” in Hebrew) is a weeklong Jewish harvest festival—a time of giving thanks for the gif ts of nature and the safety and comfort of home. During the holiday, Jews around the world invite family and friends into their sukkot (plural for “sukkah”) to eat, gather, and celebrate the bounty of the season.
Today, we invite you to join our Skirball family and share in the celebration of the harvest season. Sing and dance along with local performers, learn about the holiday through spoken word around the sukkah, and participate in activities—curated by Creative Ways with herbs from Five Finger Farm—that honor nature’s bounty.
