The resplendent fort, magnificent palaces, splendid monuments, serene lakes and holy temples add to the peace and quietude of this city of Marwaris. It was founded by Rao Jodha, a chief of the Rathore clan, in 1459 and thus named after him. Jodhpur, the second largest city in Rajasthan was previously known as Marwar. The city is also known as the "Sun City" because of two very reasons, the bright and sunny weather and the first ray of rising sun dropping on the majestic fort of Jodhpur amidst other cities of Rajasthan. It is a prominent tourist destination. Every year thousands of tourists visit this city of verve and witness a royal traverse crammed with a beautiful setting, amazing delicacies of Rajasthan, folk dances and immensely compassionate population. The weather in March is perfect to give an enhanced experience to the visitors, as evenings are pleasant and one can consider having a gala time breaking in various places during this month. There is plenty to see and do in Jodhpur. The mighty Mehrangarh Fort is the star attraction of this city, among other places. The blue coloured houses surrounding the Mehrangarh Fort lend the name, 'Blue City' to Jodhpur With some amazing Rajasthani prints and hand-woven clothes, it is a perfect destination for shopping lovers. Department of Management Studies takes immense

pleasure in inviting you to the ICM 2017 to be held from 4th-

5th March. The two day conference will include Paper/Poster

Presentation, an Open Intellectual Session with Experts of

Department of Management Studies is a well-known

institution which has been imparting management

education under the state university, Jai Narain Vyas

University, Jodhpur (Rajasthan) since 1968. The M.B.A.

Programme was initiated under the tutelage of

Department of Commerce, by Late Prof. D. N. Elhance. It

is one of the earliest M.B.A. Programmes to be started in

India on the line of IIMs. Since then, it has always enjoyed

the pleasure of “An Enterprise of Paramount Excellence.”
