Shopper's Day promotions (Shopping Day) I in these 32 days, ieuntil 28 February, at least 3 million visitors are expected in theemirate, to enjoy special offers and promotional events thatmake this fair a tourist magnet for the entire region. Dubai wantsto be at the same time a world capital of entertainment.Carnivals, outdoor concerts, jazz festivals, shows and fashionparades will liven Dubai City, which has, at this year's edition, noless than 120 guest artists.

Launched by the government in 1996, an event designed torevive retail, Dubai Shopping Festival (known in the Arab world as'Layali Dubai') was enriched every year with events that haveattracted millions of visitors: horse racing, touring Golf, fashion,

cooking shows and many other attractions. In time, consolidateda strong partnership between government and private segment,including this year's sponsors are counting Emirates Airlines, Pepsiand Visa. Throughout its existence, the festival was attended by35 million visitors. Just last year, they crossed the threshold over3.3 million people worldwide - among them leading celebrities,especially show-biz world - "usurandu is" for 9.8 million dollars.
