This is the day Owen has anticipated – he gets to be a firefighter. Instead of being isolated in a hospital room, he gets to live his vision of a perfect day. From suiting up in his special uniform to driving a fire truck and letting the sirens go, Owen will break free of his routine. He’ll feel empowerment … and discover a lift that could even affect his physical and emotional health.

Make-A-Wish® grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
This year, Make-A-Wish® will grant more than one wish per day to children across the country.
Each Make-A-Wish® experience empowers children, strengthens families and enriches the community.

Kids For Wish Kids® puts kids in charge. They take the lead to brainstorm fundraising ideas, develop plans of action and then watch their ideas come to life. Participants will see how their time and enthusiasm can change the lives of kids in their community.

Participation in Kids For Wish Kids® will bring Make-A-Wish® Southwestern Ontario one step closer to the goal of fulfilling wishes of more than 100 kids with life-threatening medical conditions.
A Make-A-Wish® experience can help wish kids feel empowered and renewed. Wishes are transformational events that can help them live with – or even overcome – their medical conditions. A wish come true can be a life-changing experience for a child facing a life-threatening medical condition. And it can also be life-changing for everyone who helps share the power of a wish®.
Project IdeasThere are few limits to Kids For Wish Kids® fundraisers. Kids of all ages can create their own ways to raise funds. Check out these ideas as a starting point:
