CAM-I – Core Values
Our success comes as a result of our shared set of core values, which are embraced by all members:
• We have a passion for innovation. We don’t enjoy resting on old ideas and old methods. We are impatient with the idea of waiting for someone else to solve our problems.
• We seek innovation through the power of our network. By bringing together diverse ideas and experiences, we attain the kind of synergy that stimulates creativity. Our intellectual property is, and a result of, an active voice of interaction. Innovation is through “we,” not “me.”
• We constantly seek relevance. Ideas that have a tangible purpose for business are the ideas that we pursue. Our brand is founded on the basis of a membership that seeks to fix the business issues faced by the membership.
• We place intrinsic trust in each other. We respect each others’ corporate proprieties while sharing experiences and insights through open interaction that leads to useful solutions.
• We respect the commitment of our members. We recognize that success depends on the mutual collaborative effort of all members searching for common solutions. We value each other’s time and appreciate the ideas each member brings forward.

Deliverables in Progress
Integrated Risk and Crisis Management Special Interest Group
The Integrated Risk and Crisis Management (IRCM) Special Interest Group has
identified the “toggle switch,” or inflection point, that operates between risk and
crisis management. Leaders will benefit from the tools in development to better
prepare for and manage through a crisis –
• Scoring template for IRCM tolerance
• Scoring template for IRCM impact and likelihood
• IRCM register template
• IRCM maturity model
• Sample crisis plan
• Development of examples of key IRCM indicators that reflect the toggle switch
concept
• Crisis case studies identifying the toggle switch for each participating
organization

Deliverables in Progress
Intelligent Data Quality Group
The Intelligent Data Quality Group seeks to develop a framework or equation that
can put a dollar value on any record of data in any data system. The ability to value
a record in quantitative, monetary terms will allow organizations to manage their
data using traditional asset management techniques.
Each element of the framework (or variable of the equation) is a deliverable of this
group. The first two elements have been defined as deliverables, including:
• Data Lifecycle Stage – The Group examined data lifecycle models throughout
the industry and created a best-of-breed lifecycle model. The deliverable details
the activities, enablers, risks, and valuation considerations of a record of data
as it moves through the lifecycle.
• Data Management Maturity – The Group is examining the maturity of an
organization with regard to data management practices, as organizations that
have higher levels of maturity are able to do more with their data, thus the
valuation increases. The deliverable will be a companion approach to the
Performance Maturity Model's Information Management enablement
component.

Deliverables in Progress
The Environmental Sustainability Interest Group (ESIG)
Conduct a case study to understand how organizations manage their
environmental sustainability initiatives, and if/how they utilize ABC/M principles to
this end. This work is the follow-up to a whitepaper the interest group wrote
entitled: Measuring and Managing Environmental Sustainability: Using Activity-
Based Costing/Management (ABC/M). Through the case study, ESIG will work to
understand:
a) The objectives of environmental sustainability (ES) programs
b) How organizations manage their ES programs
c) Best practices and challenges/pitfalls identified in managing ES programs
d) How cost has been integrated into ES programs
To date, the ESIG has interviewed 5 organizations (including several current CAM-I
members) and is currently compiling results.
