ABLOY® PROTEC CLIQ provides higher security and greaterflexibility than any other key system.

This is possible by building micro-electronics into thekey and the cylinder No external wiring is needed, norany network to connect. Only a few simple softwaretools are needed to change or extend your system as yourrequirements grow.

Today`s security standards for mechanical keys andcylinders set requirements for mechanical resistance,picking and manipulation, copying of keys and distributionof key blanks.

The CLIQ technology is added to mechanical cylindersand keys that already meet these rigorous specifications.

ELECTRONIC FUNCTIONALITY WITH HIGH CLASSENCRYPTION

Every ABLOY® PROTEC CLIQ key has a double encoding:mechanical coding on the blade and electronic codingon a chip in the bow.

The key blanks are protected by patents and the electroniccode is protected by strong encryption. This combinationprovides high mechanical security, as well as maximumelectronic security.

Inside each cylinder, embedded in the metal, is anotherchip, corresponding to the chip in the key, with the solefunction of only giving access to keys with the rightelectronic code.

EASY TO UPGRADE AND CUSTOMIZE

You can obtain both flexibility and security by combiningmechanical codes with electronic codes in keys andcylinders. Within a given system the number of newcombinations is infinite. Every cylinder and key in aABLOY® PROTEC CLIQ system has a unique identity.

Keys get lost. This is a simple fact. With an ABLOY® PROTECCLIQ system you can easily deny access rights for lost andcancelled keys. On the other hand you can add keys andgive them the access rights needed.

INTERACTIVE INTELLIGENCE TIES THE SYSTEMTOGETHER

To program the cylinders special programming keys areused by the system operators. These programming keysserve the dual purpose of security tools and informationcarriers for the system.

Programming keys are needed to get access to theprogramming device and an ABLOY® KEYCONTROL softwarepackage. Programming keys are used to carry programminginformation from an easy-to use programming unit to thecylinders.

AUDIT TRAIL WITH DATE AND TIME

Audit trail control is built- in both the cylinders and thekeys. The cylinder audit trail chart holds 1000 transactionsin its memory.

The cylinder audit trail shows the date and the time anABLOY® PROTEC CLIQ key was inserted into the cylinder.

The key audit trail holds 100 transactions and shows thedate and the time for every ABLOY® PROTEC CLIQ cylinderthe key was inserted into.

FULL CONTROL OF ALL YOUR KEYS

Since every ABLOY® PROTEC CLIQ key is unique it is fullypersonalized for its user. This gives you flexibility whenneeds change and it ensures security by always being ableto cancel access rights for lost keys.

As a user, all you need is one key. With it, you knowwhere you are authorized to go. You know that your keycannot be illegally copied, even if you have lent it tosomeone temporarily. More importantly if you lose yourkey, your costs are limited.

You can design it to fit your organization and yourpremises. Make it flexible within a department, within afloor, within a building. NO WIRING, NO ADD-ONS

A lock cylinder and a key. That is all you need. Thepower is supplied by a battery in the key bow. Thebattery can be easily changed.

PLUG AND PLAY

An ABLOY® PROTEC CLIQ system is just as easy to installas a traditional mechanical lock system. If you alreadyhave a lock system installed and wish to upgrade it, youjust exchange the cylinders and distribute the new keys.In many cases you can even have the new keys madeto fit the mechanical cylinders already installed.
